The Ruth Series: Episode 16- God Blesses Generations!

Sammie

Bible Reading: Ruth 4

Memory Verse: Ruth 4: 17

The women living there said, “Naomi has a son!” And they named him Obed. He was the father of Jesse, the father of David.

Good morning everyone! Hope you are having a great day so far? We give God all the glory for life this morning. I hope yesterday’s message inspired and got you thinking. Today, we are continuing the Ruth Series with the sixteenth episode. In today’s message we would be looking at how God blesses generations.

It is common to hear “In my generation, this wasn’t so!” amongst our parents and grandparents. When they find some new practices strange or different from what they are used to, they always use that phrase. Have you ever experienced that? At times it is very hilarious. Everyone in a particular generation. So in a family when we put all these generations together, they become a lineage. So at times you hear people say that when they traced their lineage, they found out that this person or that person is their ancestor.

God wants to let you know that if you diligently seek Him and do His works, He will bless you and your generations to come. Let’s look at an examples, I hope you have heard the name Rockefeller. Yup! This man was one of Gods giants. Due to his diligent walk with God, God blessed him and generations after. Till today his generations are being blessed. Their name is still reigning. Is that not so kind and generous? He is not only going to bless you but generations to come. Wow! I want you to take time to sink this in. is it not amazing?

In the Ruth 4, we see that God blesses both Naomi and Ruth and He also blessed their generations to come. God blessed Ruth with Boaz, protection, wealth and a Son. God blessed Naomi with joy and a grandson. Ruth and Boaz’s son, Obed, was father to Jesse and Jesse was father to David. The great King David. God blessed them and blessed their generations after them. Imagine! If you diligently work for God, he would bless you more than you can fathom. Imagine one of your great- grand children becoming a king or a queen of England! Hahaha. Anything is possible with God when He decided to honour you and your generations to God.

So I want to use this platform to encourage you to seek God. Diligently follow Him. Obey Him. Do His works and He would bless you and your generations to come. However, this is a decision you must take personally. The decision to drop everything in this world and concentrate on God. Are you ready to make that decision? If you are, and you are not a child of God and haven’t asked Christ to come in your life; repeat this short prayer with all sincerity:

Dear Lord,

I come to you today as a sinner. I admit that I am a sinner. I believe that Jesus is the Son of God and He came to this earth to die for my sins. Dear Lord, let your Son come and fil me and cleanse me sins. I am ready to stand for you and profess your Name. Thank you Lord. Amen.

Hallelujah! You have joined God’s family. We are all celebrating. Heaven is jubilating and God’s children on earth as well. Now that you are a child of God, I am sure you are excited to start this wonderful journey with God. Get a Bible in a version that you would understand and appreciate. Meditate on it daily, so that you may know God personally. Find a Bible believing church to fellowship with so that you may grow spiritually. You can also send me a message to start Bible studies or if you want some help in this journey. Hallelujah!

If you are a child of God and you are ready to give up the things of the world to diligently walk with God, say this prayer sincerely:

Dear God,

Thank you for sending your Son to die on the cross. I know I have not been a faithful servant. I want to become one, Oh God; please help me to diligently seek you. Please help me to stand firm in my decision to follow you from this day onwards. I thank you oh Lord, for life and for the Grace and Mercies you have showered upon my life.

Amen.

If you said this prayer, heaven is jubilating. We are happy that you have made the decision to put Christ first. Now you have to conscientiously choose Christ. It is not an easy task, but God will help you through. Get some friends and family (who are Christians and have decided to put Christ first) to check up on you. Hallelujah.

Prayer:

Dear Lord, I thank you for today’s message. I thank you that you are revealing all these things to me. Lord, help me, guide and protect me as I have made the decision to follow you. Help me to fight against the enemy and thank you for the tools you have equipped me with. I give you all the glory, honour and adoration. Amen.

Today’s Prayer: Dear Lord,

Thank you for taking me through the night and giving me life this morning. I want to say thank you Lord, for revealing this message to you. I commit my day into your care Oh Lord. Help me to be a blessing to everyone I encounter today. Use me Oh God. Thank you for sending your son to die for my sins. I lift your name high up Oh God, for you are Great and your love endures forever.

Amen.

Remember, diligently serving God takes a conscientious effort. Now that you have taken the first step, you can do it. God richly bless you.

  • Have a wonderful day and let God inspire you.
