The Genesis Story: Part 92- Living your Inheritance!!

Bible Reading: Genesis 26

Memory Verse: Genesis 26: 4c & 5

… all nations on earth will be blessed, because Abraham obeyed me and did everything I required of him, keeping my commands, my decrees and my instructions.

Good morning ladies and gentlemen! How have you been? Did you enjoy yesterday’s message? Well I did. I was encouraged and comforted by God’s Word; I hope you were as well. Today, the journey continues. We would be exploring "our inheritance in Christ". Let’s get right into it!

We see in Genesis 26: 4c and 5 that God was telling Isaac about the blessings He has made available to His children because of the covenant He made with Abraham. Thanks to that covenant, you and I are enjoying certain blessings.

Being born-again Christians, we are in Christ; Abraham is our spiritual father. Just like many people call their pastors and religious “spiritual fathers;” so also do we' in the spiritual realms. Thanks to this, you and I have become spiritual heirs of Abraham. This means that you and I get to benefit from the covenant God made with Abraham.

There are so many Christians who are always seeking blessings from God. I am here to tell you that you are already blessed. First of all, you are blessed because you are a child of God. Secondly, you are blessed because you have inherited blessings from Abraham’s covenant with God. As Christians, we must stop requesting and asking for blessings in our lives. We must claim our blessings and live in it.

Do not give the enemy the opportunity to still your joy and happiness. Many Christians are living this way because they feel like God never blesses them. The thing is that He already has. He has already spoken it into being. The only thing for you to do is; claim it and live it.

Many Christians are missing out on this because they do not read the Bible to know what is available to them. I see many Christians struggling through many things; the solution is written in the Bible. God’s words are written out to help and guide us. It is very important that as Christians, we are constantly filled with the Word. Not only is the Word literally God’s words to us (a form of communicate), however, it is also a weapon against the enemy.

When Jesus was tempted by the enemy, what did He use to overcome the temptations- The Word of God. It is very important in our Christian life. If not, the enemy would successfully trick us with false pretenses; which could lead us astray.

Also, many Christians are missing out on their blessings because of their mindsets. Though they call themselves Christians, they doubt the existence of God or of His Son, Jesus, coming to die on the cross to save their sins. In such a situation, such a person does not have faith that s/he would receive their blessing; they will never receive it. Living in your blessing requires faith; I mean a lot of unwavering Faith. I know that with God’s help, everyone is being revitalized with new faith in Christ. Amen.

I pray that God fills you with a burning desire to know Him more and communicate with Him better. Amen. I pray that you have learnt something important in today’s message. I pray that it will change your lives and the recommendations made would change your lives. God bless.

The prayer below goes out to anyone who is living in bondage or oppression. After saying this short prayer, all those chains would be broken, and you will start to enjoy a free life; full of joy and many blessings. Kindly say this prayer with all sincerity.

Dear Lord,

I come to you today as a sinner. I admit that I am a sinner. I believe that Jesus is your Son and He came on to this earth to die for my sins. Dear Lord, let your Son come and fill me. Lord, I ask that He cleanses me off my sins. I am ready to stand for you and profess your Name. Thank you, Lord. Amen.
