The 8 Principles for the 21st Century Christian (Part 2)

Topic: The 3rd Principle for the 21st Century Christian

Bible Reading: Genesis 41

Good morning ladies and gentlemen! How are you all doing? Ready for another wonderful message from the Holy Spirit? I am! Today, we would be continuing with the 8 Principles we started exploring yesterday. Feedback from some of you suggests that one Principle should be given each day (as the message gets long and overwhelming). In today’s message, we would be exploring Principle number 3.

Are you ready?... Let’s go.

Principle number three is centered around Genesis 41: 9 which says, …

Then the chief cupbearer said to Pharaoh, “Today I am reminded of my shortcomings…

PRINCIPLE 3: You are not Forgotten!

At times, I hear many people say, “God has forsaken me!” or “I am forgotten!” Today, I am telling you that you are not forgotten! God never forgets his children. How could He? Look at how our earthly parents take care of us, groom us and protect us. How much more our Heavenly Father, who sacrificed His Son to die on the cross for you and I? This is unconditional love (and this is the kind of love we must replicate to all).

Most of the times, we feel like we are forgotten because of the situation we find ourselves. But that is not the case! I understand that during our test period or the preparation stage, we feel weary and tired (at times almost loosing hope). We feel like God is not answering our prayers. We feel like He is a wicked God who does not love us. It is quite the contrary, it is hard to believe, at times. I know.

Like I always say the verb “ to Forget” is not a part of God’s vocabulary. It is just that His ways are not your or my ways. He knows that as human as we are, if we do not go through these tests and trials, our sinful nature would get the best of us. We would not handle our assignment (our land) properly. God knows what you are capable of; to reveal this, He must make sure that He works on us.

Look at Joseph! Do you not think he felt forgotten? I am sure He did. But God came through for him at the right time (when the opportunity was created). God caused the cupbearer to remember all Joseph had done for him in the prisons. At this point, Joseph was ready to handle the vision God had given him. This happened when Joseph was tested in prison for 2 years and waiting upon God (and the cupbearer) to rescue him from his position.

Imagine if you were Joseph! You are just out of prison and Pharaoh has appointed you as his second-in-command. How would you rule? What are the things you are interested in? Would you be seeking money or God’s glory? Think about this for a while! Personally, I know that at this point God would have broken my ego, my character, my behavior, my mindset and my way of living. I would be living a life of God because I put His will over mine. That is what God wants from us.

Always remember, …

GOD NEVER FORGETS. HE WILL NOT FORGET YOU TODAY, TOMORROW OR EVER. THE TOUGH TIMES ARE JUST A PREPARATION STAGE. HE IS WITH YOU THROUGH IT ALL.

Here are a few verses that talks about God and how He never forgets us: Romans 5:8, Matthew 28:20, Deuteronomy 31:6

Amen!

Thank you very much for taking time off to read today’s message. I pray that today’s message would encourage and remind you of God’s unfailing love for us (His children). Be rest assured that He will never forget you. Hallelujah!

If you are reading this blog for the first time and you do not have Christ living in you, or you have the strong urge to come to Christ; kindly say this prayer wholeheartedly;

Dear Lord,

I come to you today as a sinner. I admit that I am a sinner. I believe that Jesus is your Son and He came on to this earth to die for my sins. Dear Lord, let your Son come and fill me. Lord, I ask that He cleanses me off my sins. I am ready to stand for you and profess your Name. Thank you, Lord. Amen.

Congratulations! You are a part of God’s family. Leave a message and let us have a conversation. God bless.

  • Have a wonderful day and let God inspire you!
