Topic: The Genesis Story (Part 136)- “Truth” and Confusion in the Camp of the enemy
Good morning ladies and gentlemen! How are you all doing? Hope your morning is off to a great start? What are some of the lessons you learnt from yesterday’s message? Was there an aspect of the message that caught your attention? Let us know! Just leave your comments in the contact section below or send us an email on sammies.dailydose@gmail.com.
To help us explore the theme for today, we would be taking a closer look at Genesis 42:21 and 22. The Bible says…
Then they said to one another, “We are truly guilty concerning our brother, for we saw the anguish of his soul when he pleaded with us, and we would not hear; therefore this distress has come upon us.”
And Reuben answered them, saying, “Did I speak to you saying, ‘Do not sin against the boy; and you would not listen? Therefore behold, his blood is now required of us.”
Ready for the message? I am! Well, let us get right into it…
Have you ever thought if the enemy speaks the truth? Or do you think the camp of the enemy suffers confusion? Well, I am here to tell you that they do! This message is a continuation of yesterday’s message. Truth and Confusion in the camp of the enemy is an aftermath of God’s Favour upon the lives of His children.
Do not worry about the things that people say now! Do not worry about the actions people take against you! Yes, it may be painful! It may cause you to be sad or angry! But the truth will surely come to light. We get frustrated and weary when it seems like the truth is taking a long time to come to light. The truth shall surely come to light at the right time; not your time. So be comforted in God’s Word and promise to you.
The truth would be reported or told by the camp of the enemy. They would be brought to shame; not you! Why? Well, in Isaiah 54:4, the Bible tells us not to live on fear because we would not be put to shame! Keep your head up high! Shame, Disgrace, Humiliation are not from God. It not the will of God for His children. Your time of vindication is coming soon. Let them continue talking; for they are the ones who would be ashamed.
As Christians, we must always strive to live a life holy and pleasing to God. Once we do so, the enemy has nothing over us (even though he tries very hard to accuse you of one thing or another).
When God’s Favor is upon you, there is confusion in the camp of the enemy. Their plan has not succeeded; they begin to wonder amongst themselves, “What went wrong?” Let us look at Joseph’s story; as told in verses 21 and 22. From these verses, we see that Joseph’s brothers admitted to their “horrible” actions against their brother. This represents the first aspect of this message; “truth”. In verse 22, we see that the blame game took place. We see that Reuben tried to clear himself from the horrible deeds of his brother. When God’s favor is upon your life, your enemies would be in a state of confusion as they would all try and dissociate themselves from their horrendous crimes.
My dear brother and sister, God has got you! Never forget His Word and Promise over your life. The enemy thinks he is destroying your life. There is a time coming; he would be ashamed and disgraced.
Today, I continue to pray for divine strength for you! I cancel any spirit of tiredness, weariness and complacency. I pray that God renews you with love, strength and patience. Amen!
The prayer below is for anyone who has given up on life and its challenges. God is here to pour His favor over your life. All you have to do is call out to Him. Make that decision today!
Dear Lord,
I come to you today as a sinner. I admit that I am a sinner. I believe that Jesus is your Son and He came on to this earth to die for my sins. Dear Lord, let your Son come and fill me. Lord, I ask that He cleanses me off my sins. I am ready to stand for you and profess your Name. Thank you, Lord. Amen.
If you repeated this prayer with all the sincerity of your heart, congratulations!! You are now a part of God’s family. Welcome to the greatest family ever. Heaven is jubilating on your arrival. Your fellow brothers and sisters are also excited to have you on board.
Being a child of God is a wonderful thing. The road might not always be easy, but God is with you each and every step of the way. Guiding you, helping you and encouraging up. You will never regret this decision; I can assure you of that. Two things I would recommend for you to do are;
Get yourself a Bible (in a version you understand) and meditate on it day and night. In Joshua 1:8, we are told that when you meditate on the Word day and night, you will be prosperous and successful.
Find a Bible- believing church to attend and fellowship with other Christians. This would help you grow spiritually.
I am excited that you made this decision. Welcome! If you would like some help or more understanding into anything, you can leave a message (adding your email address) and I would be willing and happy to help you out. Hallelujah!
Have a wonderful day and let God inspire you!
