Be Careful what You Receive!

Topic: Be careful what you receive!!

Good morning ladies and gentlemen! How have you been doing? It has been a long whole since there was a post. A lot has gone down in the past few weeks. I was sick and had to be home a week. Went back to school with a backlog of assignments and quizzes. Guess what? I also had exams. Though that period was very stressful and tiring; God saw me through.

Well, we are in the Christmas season and Christmas is my favourite period of the year. My birthday happens to be in this month, and it is the commemorative period of Jesus’ birth. What are your plans for this Christmas? Do share with us!

In today’s message, we would be looking at a subject which God has laid on my heart for about three weeks. It is about what we open our hearts to receive from various songs, preaching, prophetic word, etc. This is a very dicey topic and I pray that today’s transcript would be exactly how the Holy Spirit directs.

There are many people I know who are always hopping from church to church, pastor to pastor, prayer camps to prayer camps, prophet to prophet, etc. They are in search of a particular answer. Many people do not! In Mathew 24:5, the Bible says, “For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Messiah,’ and will deceive many.” We should be careful not to be deceived by the people of this world; who come under false pretenses.

A major point I want to make is that getting closer to God and growing spiritually is not about the number of times you go to church or an all-night service or a prayer meeting; it is the relationship you have with God. This relationship matures when you spend time to know Him and live your
