Daniel answered in the presence of the king, and said, “The secret which the king has demanded, the wise men, the astrologers, the magicians, and the soothsayers cannot declare to the king. But there is a God in heaven who reveals secrets, and He has made known to King Nebuchadnezzar what will be in the latter days.

Good evening ladies and gentlemen! How was your day? I hope you had a great day! Today, we continue our adventure through Daniel’s Dose. How have you been enjoying this series so far? Have you learnt a few things? Have you been encouraged? Do share some with us! We love to hear from you!

Are you ready for today’s message? Well, let us get right into it!

Whenever you achieve something or go through something; who do you acknowledge for your success? Some people would attribute their success to their parents, their own abilities or their friends. In the heat of the moment, we tend to look at the physical/ material things around us. That is what our human nature draws us to do! However, we are to acknowledge God first!

The most important question now is “Why should we acknowledge God?” Well, we acknowledge God for our successes because it is a symbol of giving all the glory and honor back to Him. It shows that you know and understand that you cannot do anything (or be in a particular position/ situation) if God was not behind your back. In reality, what can we do without God? Who are we without God? Most importantly, acknowledging God shows that you have subdued yourself and have made God the master of your life!

Take a look at Daniel’s adventure in Daniel 2:27 and 28, immediately after share the secrets and interpretation with the king, Nebuchadnezzar, Daniel was quick to acknowledge God. He made sure to inform the king that it is by God’s Grace, power and might; by which he was able to tell the dream; and give an interpretation. This is an important step! We must all adopt this in our everyday lives. This is a form of showing gratitude and giving thanks to God. In this journey with Christ, it is not about the big things that count all the time. Most importantly, it is the consistent, little things that make the difference.
