The Genesis Story: Part 145- Great Times Ahead!

Topic: The Genesis Story: Part 145- Great Times Ahead!

Bible Reading: Genesis 46

Memory Verse: Genesis 46: 3

“I am God, the God of your father,” he said. “Do not be afraid to go down to Egypt, for I will make you into a great nation there!”

Good morning ladies and gentlemen! How are you doing? I hope you had a wonderful weekend; spending time with your family! I pray that everyone is safe at home and respectfully following the guidelines provided to us by health officials. I urge you to continue practicing these safety measures; as we fight COVID-19 with God’s direction.

Today, we continue the Genesis Story with Part 145. We are exploring Genesis 46 this week! In today’s message, we would be exploring the theme: Great times ahead! Are you ready for this message? I am! Well, let us get right into it.

There are many people who go through afflictions or troubled times and do not see past their present situation! In fact, many Christians have experienced this at one point or another! There are many people who cannot see beyond the COVID-19 situation! They are living a life full of fear and panic! Trying to find solutions to make them better or avoid catching the virus. As Christians, we must know and believe that God has a plan for our life. And this plan is for our good! When we come out of a terrible situation, we would be better, stronger than before!

Know that after this period of COVID-19, God has a great plan for you; for your life! We must continue to seek his face and listen to Him! Do not be afraid! Trust that God is with you! He has a great plan for you and I!

Looking at Genesis 46 verse 3, we see that God talks to Jacob; reassuring him that He (God) is with Him (Jacob). God told Jacob that he would make him a great nation! Let us take another look at this verse. In the context we are looking at, Egypt represents afflictions, turmoil, refuge, bondage, fear, disease, etc. Jacob was going to face Egypt. Just like Jacob, we are facing a very serious pandemic. This pandemic is causing a lot of pain and affliction. I am here to let you know that God has a plan to make us great!

Today, God is reassuring us that He is with us! He is reiterating the power He has and who He is! My dear brother and sister in Christ, this too shall pass! We are going to come out better than ever! This is a period of trials and tests; we must spend time with God and draw nearer to Him! Hallelujah!

From today, go on with a smile! Trust that God has got you! Know that there are Great times ahead! This difficult time is just a season! God is with us! He has got us! So do not fret! Do not worry!

As we call on to God and wait in His presence, let us continue to keep ourselves safe! Do not act ignorant in this situation! Continue to follow the guidelines that have been presented to you! God bless you!

IMPORTANT NOTE!!!

The prayer below is for anyone who does not know God or maybe has been apart from God for a while. God is here to pour His favor over your life. All you have to do is call out to Him. Make that decision today!

Dear Lord,

I come to you today as a sinner. I admit that I am a sinner. I believe that Jesus is your Son and He came on to this earth to die for my sins. Dear Lord, let your Son come and fill me. Lord, I ask that He cleanses me off my sins. I am ready to stand for you and profess your Name. Thank you, Lord. Amen.

If you repeated this prayer with all the sincerity of your heart, congratulations!! You are now a part of God’s family. Welcome to the greatest family ever. Heaven is jubilating on your arrival. Your fellow brothers and sisters are also excited to have you on board.

Being a child of God is a wonderful thing. The road might not always be easy, but God is with you each and every step of the way. Guiding you, helping you and encouraging up. You will never regret this decision; I can assure you of that. Two things I would recommend for you to do are;

  1. Get yourself a Bible (in a version you understand) and meditate on it day and night. In Joshua 1:8, we are told that when you meditate on the Word day and night, you will be prosperous and successful.

  2. Find a Bible- believing church to attend and fellowship with other Christians. This would help you grow spiritually.

I am excited that you made this decision. Welcome! If you would like some help or more understanding into anything, you can leave a message (adding your email address) and I would be willing and happy to help you out
