The Ruth Series: Episode 3 - Rejoice in the Lord, No matter the circumstance.

Bible Reading: Ruth Chapter 1: 21 & 22

Memory Verse: Ruth 1:21

“Don’t call me Naomi,” she told them. “Call me Mara, because the Almighty has made my life bitter.”

Hello and good morning everyone! Welcome to another daily dose of Biblical medicine. Today’s daily dose is a bit different. Today we are only looking at two verses, whereas the other doses looked at a whole chapter.

We are continuing the Ruth Series; we are still in Chapter 1 of the Book of Ruth. I hope these daily doses are inspiring as much as they are inspiring me. Today’s daily dose is to give a bit of encouragement to everyone. This message is only ministering to you, but to myself as well. This message reassured me of my God and how wonderful He is.

Life is made up of many ups and downs. Some people might say that in their lives, there are more downs than ups. But be assured God is with you through it all. It might not seem that way and you might wonder whether our God exists but I am here to encourage you and to tell you that our God is always by our sides. With that, we must rejoice and praise him no matter what. Imagine if this were the reverse? Imagine if God decides to turn his back on us anytime we turn our backs to him? How would we survive?

Our God is a just and forgiving God, He never wants us to be going through any sort of difficulty or pain. He hurts with us too. But all these trials we face are to make us strong. And God will surely bless you; not only on earth, but in heaven as well.

There is this Christian gathering I go for. It happens every Tuesday at the bushes of The University of Ghana campus. About a month ago, a lady prophesied and told us (the congregation gathered) that God is God from the beginning till the end. This Word she gave struck me. The two main words are “From” and “Till”. Our God is with us in the good times and the bad. From the day you were formed in your mother’s womb, till the day you die. Every circumstance, situation that you find yourself in during this period He is with you.

So I am telling you to REJOICE! Yes, rejoice no matter what, because the God who has conquered the devil, Our God who is the only living God, Our God who is Mightier than any other, Our God who is Alpha and Omega, is with us at all times. Just remember that He lets you go through these trials to sharpen you, to make you bolder and to prepare you for the wonderful things He has in store for you. REJOICE TODAY, TOMORROW AND ALWAYS!!

From our Bible reading, we see that Naomi was quick to pronounce her sadness to the world and blame God for her situation. Little did she know that God was still with her and her daughter-in-law, Ruth. Little did she know that God was going to bless her even more than before- through Ruth’s marriage to Boaz which you will see if you read the other chapters of the book of Ruth. Imagine if she had rejoiced even in all the hurt and pain she was going through? Do you think the outcome would have been different? Oh yes it would have. She would have received an even greater blessing than she did... So I urge you today REEJJOOIICCEE, FOR THE LORD IS WITH YOU FROM BEGINNING TILL THE END.

Prayer Points: Today, I would like you to just worship and praise God. Just thank Him for all He has done for you. Count your blessings and Name them one by one; then thank Him for all the wonderful blessings He has showered upon you.

End this worship time with a prayer asking God to give you the strength to rejoice in Him all the time. Pray for His guidance over you and your family. Pray that He gives you the strength to continue to choose Him every day.

Prayer for the day: (said loudly)

Oh Lord,

I thank you for another day. I thank you for life, good health and peace. Lord, I ask that you guide and protect me today. I pray committing this day into your care, Lord. I pray for travelling mercies to and from every location I go today. I dip myself into your blood and I pray that today would be a great day. Help me to lead a life that shows of your glory.

I thank you and lift your name high up, In Jesus Mighty Name,

AMEN.

I am praying that today’s message ministered to you, as much as it did to me. Always remember REJOICE IN THE LORD ALWAYS; FOR HE IS HAS BEEN WITH YOU FROM THE BEGINNING AND HE WILL BE WITH YOU TILL THE END.

  • Have a wonderful day and let God inspire you.
