And there will be a tabernacle for shade in the daytime from the heat, for a place of refuge, and for a shelter from storm and rain.
Good evening, ladies, and gentlemen! I hope you had a wonderful day! It is my prayer that your week started off on an awesome note! There are three days left in the month of April! Wow! The months have gone by quickly! Let us use this opportunity to give thanks to God for His Goodness and His Grace over our life. In just a second or two, shout out, “Father, Lord, thank you for everything!” Hallelujah!
This evening, we are going back to a series we began at the beginning of last year, 2020! After just eleven posts in the series, we focused on other series. Guess what? We are back to the “Isaiah’s Truths” series. Yes! We know that by God’s Grace, we would complete this journey through Isaiah! Are you ready to get back on this journey? Are ready for all the gems/ lessons the Holy Spirit has for us from this book of the Bible?
Well, let us get into it…
To become a child of God, you must make the decision to accept that you are a sinner and invite Christ into your life! With that, you all Christ to take control of your heart- paying the price for your transgressions and sins. To become Chosen, you need to decide once again; this time, you need to make a choice for Christ through adversity, trial, and tribulation. Choosing Christ when it seems like the wrong turn because everyone and everything points to the world. You are Chosen because you have proven to God that He is indeed Lord over your life. Both decisions are very important to all who seek salvation from God.
Each level of decision-making shows your intimacy and relationship with Christ. Every stage comes with a unique level of closeness to God, a unique set of challenges and a unique set of rewards. One of the rewards for the Chosen is divine protection.
In our verse for today, we see that God is saying that He would provide a tabernacle for all who remain in Zion. Here, God was referring to His Presence. God was telling the people of Zion that His Presence was amongst them. He was trying to let them understand that He was going to be with them all the time- through everything (especially in the tough times).
In this verse, we see that the tabernacle is used for three main reasons- for shade in the daytime from the heat, for a place of refuge and for a shelter from the storm and rain. Let’s break each one to get better understanding of all that God is telling us! One of the uses of the tabernacle is to act as a shelter. A shelter is a place of rest, a place of hiding and a place of storage. You see, God is telling us that during our turbulent times (our trials), He will hide us in His presence- the enemy cannot harm us. In this phrase, God is also telling us that, through our challenges, His presence is a place of rest- we would not grow weary because He gives us rest (and peace). Lastly, God is telling us that once we are in His Presence, through the trials, He is preparing us; storing all the necessary skills, character traits, etc. that we need in the future. WOW! What a wonderful God we serve! It is truly a privilege to be loved by God.
Moving on, we also see that the tabernacle is used as a place of refuge. Refuge refers to safety but also depicts God’s strength. Here, the scripture is telling us that the presence of God makes us safe. How? Well, because we are renewed in His Strength, Power and Might. This allows us to face the enemy because we are no longer afraid of him or his tactical play. We have the Power of the Most Holy backing us! WOW! This God we serve! How He loves us so!!
Lastly, the scripture tells us that the tabernacle will be used as a shade in the daytime from the heat. In this case, the scripture is showing us that once we have God’s Presence surrounding us, He provide for us. We do not need to hustle through life’s ups and downs. He allows us to rest in Him and He directs our work. He gives us the direction and strategies to work. Unlike many who strive very hard during the day; God gives us rest so we do not need to strive so much during the day! He honors our efforts and multiplies it. Hallelujah! This God is too good o! His love and thoughtfulness are amazing!
Can you see how good this our God is? You are missing out if you are not a part of this family!
If this is your first-time hearing about Christ, or you have made the decision to make Him the center of your life, kindly say this prayer with all sincerity and truth.
Dear Lord,
I come to you today as a sinner. I admit that I am a sinner. I believe that Jesus is your Son and He came on to this earth to die for my sins. Dear Lord, let your Son come and fill me. Lord, I ask that He cleanses me off my sins. I am ready to stand for you and profess your Name. Thank you, Lord. Amen.
If you repeated this prayer with all the sincerity of your heart, congratulations!! You are now a part of God’s family. You get to enjoy the freedom, salvation, and eternal life! Welcome to the greatest family ever. Heaven is jubilating on your arrival. Your fellow brothers and sisters are also excited to have you on board.
Being a child of God is a wonderful thing. The road might not always be easy, but God is with you each and every step of the way. Guiding you, helping you and encouraging up. You will never regret this decision; I can assure you of that. Two things I would recommend for you to do are;
1. Get yourself a Bible (in a version you understand) and meditate on it day and night. In Joshua 1:8, we are told that when you meditate on the Word day and night, you will be prosperous and successful.
2. Find a Bible- believing church to attend and fellowship with other Christians. This would help you grow spiritually.
I am excited that you made this decision. Welcome! If you would like some help or more understanding into anything, you can leave a message (adding your email address) and I would be willing and happy to help you out!
God richly bless you! Thank you, God, for victory!
Have a wonderful day and let God inspire you!
