Pill of the Week: I have Victory in Christ! (Part 2)

Verse of the week: John 16:33 & Ephesians 6:13

Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen! How are you doing! Happy New Week! We could say that this is officially the last full week in the month of February! Yes! We would be entering into a new month in the next few days, by God’s Grace. Just as we established last two weeks, at the beginning of every week, we would spend a few minutes showing gratitude to God for all that He is about to do in this new week! Make sure to give thanks to God for everything- the small things and the big things.

Last week, for our pill of the week, the Holy Spirit taught us about the meaning of having Victory in Christ. We saw that, Victory in Christ, means that He fight our battles for and with us. In addition to this, we saw that Victory in Christ, also means that He helps us with strategies to endure/ escape temptation. Today, the Holy Spirit is expanding on this theme some more. We will be looking at two other definitions- peace and provision of weapons/ tools to overcome. Well, let us get right into it.

1. Enduring Peace (John 16:33)

Victory in Christ means to have peace. This peace is enduring. What do we mean by enduring peace? Well, this life is full of ups and downs. The enemy is always trying to steal, kill and destroy. The enemy is always trying to make us denounce our right as children of God. He main job is to frustrate us. He knows that, once he gets us to this point, he can have his way. Despite the enemy’s efforts to bring us down, we have overcome! Why? We have victory in Christ, as children of God- through the redemptive power of the blood. No matter what the enemy does to frustrate you, you have peace in Christ.

The key to accessing this Peace is to believe. How can you do this? Well, you can start by confessing daily who you are in Christ. (Victory is an aspect of your identity in Christ!) Even when you do not feel like it. You will realise that as you continue to confess this peace, it will begin to fill your heart. Once that happens, it would not matter what the enemy brings your way. You live, walk, and breathe in peace- the people around you would not be able to comprehend. This is a kind of peace that will allow you to sleep well. A kind of peace that lasts a lifetime. This is the enduring peace that we enjoy as children of God. It is our prayer, here at Sammie’s Ministries, that we all get to a point in our lives where we are enjoying this enduring peace.

2. Provision of weapons/ tools to overcome (Ephesians 6:13)

One of the most beautiful things about having Victory in Christ, is the resources available to you. These are very powerful tools and weapons that God has given to His children to facilitate our victory over the enemy. These weapons and tools overcome anything and everything. There is nothing new or different that the enemy can pull up to overthrow the children of God. Once we, God’s Children, get to understand and grasp this, the enemy has nothing against us!

Just imagine living a life of constant, consistent breakthrough and testimony!! Wow! What an awesome life that will be! Guess what? We can do so now! Yes, we can! We just need to take on God’s Word and ran with it. The enemy uses our insecurities as his weapon in warfare. Once we can be sure of the power of God’s word in our lives (and our identity as children of God), the battle is won. What we need to do as Children of God, is to move from a place of insecurities to a place of confidence and maturity. Do not worry, the Holy Spirit is available to help us get to this point! We must make the decision and give Him the permission to help us and work on us! The real question here is, “Are you ready?” We pray for Grace to overcome, in Jesus Name!!

As we uncovered this theme, the depth of God’s love for His children is revealed. Not only His love, but the intentionality and detail! The God we serve is truly wonderful. Each time, the Holy Spirit reveals something new about God; it is just mind-blowing. You just have a new level of appreciation for who God is. Yes Indeed! This is the God we serve. He is beautiful to us! He is Glorious and Mighty! Words cannot fully describe this God we serve! Wow! We, at Sammie’s Ministries, pray that this post has strengthened your confidence in God and your love for Him! Hallelujah!

Thank you, God, for victory!

Have a wonderful day and let God inspire you!

If this is your first-time hearing about Christ, or you have made the decision to make Him the center of your life, kindly say this prayer with all sincerity and truth.

Dear Lord,

I come to you today as a sinner. I admit that I am a sinner. I believe that Jesus is your Son, and He came on to this earth to die for my sins. Dear Lord, let your Son come and fill me. Lord, I ask that He cleanses me off my sins. I am ready to stand for you and profess your Name. Thank you, Lord. Amen.

If you repeated this prayer with all the sincerity of your heart, congratulations!! You are now a part of God’s family. You get to enjoy the freedom, salvation, and eternal life! Welcome to the greatest family ever. Heaven is jubilating on your arrival. Your fellow brothers and sisters are also excited to have you on board.

Being a child of God is a wonderful thing. The road might not always be easy, but God is with you each step of the way. Guiding you, helping you and encouraging up. You will never regret this decision; I can assure you of that. Two things I would recommend for you to do are,

1. Get yourself a Bible (in a version you understand) and meditate on it day and night. In Joshua 1:8, we are told that when you meditate on the Word, day and night, you will be prosperous and successful.

2. Find a Bible- believing church to attend and fellowship with other Christians. This would help you grow spiritually.
