Easter is over- What Now? (Part 1)

Good evening, ladies, and gentlemen! How are you doing? Hope you have had an amazing day and week (thus far)? We rounded up our Easter celebrations not too long ago! I pray that you had the opportunity to reflect on the significance of Christ’s death; equally reflecting on your lives and your journey with God. This very important for every Christian.

Easter, just like Christmas, has become “another” holiday! Many people (Christians included) look forward to the holiday as supposed to the significance. We organize parties, go on mini vacation(s), hang out with friends and family and/ or spend most of the day in bed. We have slowly lost the meaning and significance of Easter. Is Easter truly about the bunny and eggs or about Christ’s death (the basis of our Faith)? What are our priorities- Faith or the world?

You see, the trends of this world are changing every day! Sin/ sinful nature is on the rise! Every news article, social media post and/ or “culture” reflects “self” over everything else. We are a generation with misplaced priorities- money, power, self. We are thinking about what makes us look good or cool, not what is right in the eyes of God.

We claim and proclaim Christianity on paper and on Sunday. We are quick to look down on others and judge, yet we are living in a façade- where the world determines the norm. Do we call ourselves Christians just to tick some box(s) and to feel connected to a movement? It’s time that we arise and stand for the only clear way- that secures eternity. What will it be?

Our walk with Christ should not be an addition to our lives! It must take center stage! We must acknowledge that whatever we do, whoever we are, all that we have, is just by God’s Grace (and principles). All the things we are chasing here on earth, belongs to God. Why not focus on Him so He can give it to you (with all the required legalities) than spend all your time chasing these things; only to get ownership temporarily.

Do not get me wrong! I am not saying that all the good things come in a blink of an eye. God never said this road will be easy! Guess what? He sees, He’s with us through it all. He rewards our diligence and hard work. Do not think hard work, sacrifice, diligence, respect, etc. are not from God! They are! That’s why the Bible never fails to remind us of “seed time and harvest time.” What is the rush? Why are we in a hurry to finger things out and acquire everything possible.

Just as Matthew 6:33 reads “But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” As we live our lives, we must always remember this. Christ has died to save you and I! The question is how do we maintain our relationship with God and seek Him (and His righteousness always)?

Well, what do you have to do? You need to…

Follow this mini-series to discover more truths, tools, and tips to help us on this journey! God richly bless you!

However, if this is your first-time hearing about Christ, or you have made the decision to make Him the center of your life, kindly say this prayer with all sincerity and truth.

Dear Lord,

I come to you today as a sinner. I admit that I am a sinner. I believe that Jesus is your Son and He came on to this earth to die for my sins. Dear Lord, let your Son come and fill me. Lord, I ask that He cleanses me off my sins. I am ready to stand for you and profess your Name. Thank you, Lord. Amen.

If you repeated this prayer with all the sincerity of your heart, congratulations!! You are now a part of God’s family. You get to enjoy the freedom, salvation, and eternal life! Welcome to the greatest family ever. Heaven is jubilating on your arrival. Your fellow brothers and sisters are also excited to have you on board.

Being a child of God is a wonderful thing. The road might not always be easy, but God is with you each and every step of the way. Guiding you, helping you and encouraging up. You will never regret this decision; I can assure you of that. Two things I would recommend for you to do are;

1. Get yourself a Bible (in a version you understand) and meditate on it day and night. In Joshua 1:8, we are told that when you meditate on the Word day and night, you will be prosperous and successful.

2. Find a Bible- believing church to attend and fellowship with other Christians. This would help you grow spiritually.

I am excited that you made this decision. Welcome! If you would like some help or more understanding into anything, you can leave a message (adding your email address) and I would be willing and happy to help you out!

God richly bless you! Thank you, God, for victory!

Have a wonderful day and let God inspire you!
