What more was there to do for my vineyard, that I have not done in it? When I looked for it to yield grapes, why did it yield wild grapes?

Hello everyone! Good afternoon! How are you all doing? Its Friday!! Yes, the week has finally come to an end! What a week it has been! This week, we revived our blog, and we entered a new month! Yes!! We are excited about this and many awesome things God has in-store for the Ministry this year! What about you? What are grateful for, this week? There are so many things God has done for us! Just take a few minutes to say “thank you” to God, for His Goodness and His Grace! Hallelujah!

Today, we are back with another word from the Holy Spirit. Today, we are looking at Isaiah chapter 5 verse 4 (lesson 16 of the on-going Isaiah’s Truth’s series). Last Wednesday, the Holy Spirit encouraged us to reflect on our lifestyle(s), and work towards living a Christ-like life. In this blog piece, the Holy Spirit wants us to reflect on our work for God. Can you say that you are doing all God has asked of you? Can you boldly say that God is proud to see you working for Him (and in Him)? Well, let us get right into the message for today!

There are many Christians who say they have not found their purpose in life. Most of the time, until a few hours ago, I would comfort the person by saying, “That’s ok! God would reveal it to you soon!” However, as I was preparing this piece, the Holy Spirit drew my attention to how misleading I have been! It is not ok to say you have not found your purpose in life! Why? Well, once you give your life to Christ, from that day on, your purpose is in Him! What does this mean?

You see, as Children of God, He directs your path! God has given you all the things (resources, helpers, Grace, etc.) to live a life for His Glory! As you manoeuvre through life’s ups and downs, God lead you in a particular direction. He brings various opportunities your way! All this is living in your purpose. God says in Romans 8:28, “All things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to His purpose.” You see, as a Christian we are called according to His purpose- our purpose is in Him. Be rest assured that your journey is ordained by God. The question we should be asking ourselves is, “Am I living according to His purpose to the best of my abilities?”

You see, as you are committed to doing your best with everything God presents your way; you will see that the vision for your life becomes clearer. The key is to seize every opportunity God brings your way! Honestly, that can be very tough! Our flesh wants one thing, and the Spirit of God wants another! It is a battle we all go through- the battle between God and flesh! But it is possible to overcome! Trust me, it is!

God has given us everything we need to thrive in His purpose. In fact, He has given us more than we need to succeed. God expects us to do our best with everything He has given us. At times, we spend the time complaining and crying out to Him, however, we are not taking advantage of what He has presented to you! This makes God disappointed. Like our memory verse shows, God has given us everything with the hopes of His children glorying and honouring His name- but we fail to do so. Usually, we compare ourselves to others or wish for things we believe to be the best for ourselves and go wayward (“…yielding wild grapes”). Then, we ran back to God and plead for forgiveness and cry out for His mercy.

As we celebrate/ enjoy our weekend, let’s take a decision to first, acknowledge God’s presence in our lives and His purpose. Let us begin the process of changing our mindset and making sure to give our very best in what God has given to us! This may not happen overnight- that’s fine! The change can happen through consistent self-talk, declarations and prayer. The Holy Spirit is available to you always, to help you through this!

These are very important steps we need to take as Christians, especially this year- the S.A.F.E. year! God is going to show up for His own this year- Security, Abundance, Favour and Escape. It is time to take a bold step for Christ and He will surely reward you! Hallelujah!

Have a wonderful weekend! We will be back with another blog post on Monday!

God richly bless you! Thank you, God, for victory!

Have a wonderful day and let God inspire you!

If this is your first-time hearing about Christ, or you have made the decision to make Him the center of your life, kindly say this prayer with all sincerity and truth.

Dear Lord,

I come to you today as a sinner. I admit that I am a sinner. I believe that Jesus is your Son, and He came on to this earth to die for my sins. Dear Lord, let your Son come and fill me. Lord, I ask that He cleanses me off my sins. I am ready to stand for you and profess your Name. Thank you, Lord. Amen.

If you repeated this prayer with all the sincerity of your heart, congratulations!! You are now a part of God’s family. You get to enjoy the freedom, salvation, and eternal life! Welcome to the greatest family ever. Heaven is jubilating on your arrival. Your fellow brothers and sisters are also excited to have you on board.

Being a child of God is a wonderful thing. The road might not always be easy, but God is with you each step of the way. Guiding you, helping you and encouraging up. You will never regret this decision; I can assure you of that. Two things I would recommend for you to do are,

1. Get yourself a Bible (in a version you understand) and meditate on it day and night. In Joshua 1:8, we are told that when you meditate on the Word, day and night, you will be prosperous and successful.

2. Find a Bible- believing church to attend and fellowship with other Christians. This would help you grow spiritually.
