The Ruth Series: Episode 4- Is the timing right?

Bible Reading: Ruth 1: 22

Memory Verse: Ruth 1: 22

So Naomi returned from Moab accompanied by Ruth the Moabite, her daughter-in-law, arriving in Bethlehem as the barley harvest was beginning.

Good morning everyone! Hope you had a great night!

Today, we are continuing with the 4thepisode of “The Ruth Series”. Like yesterday, today we would be looking at one verse, still in Chapter 1. Today’s dose of Biblical medicine is another piece to encourage us and remind us of the God we are serving. Today’s message has inspired me and I hope it does same for you.

Sometimes, we want to tell someone something but we don’t we always say it’s not the right time. At times, we want to do something but we draw up conclusions that it’s not the right time. Hmm… When is it ever the right time then? As humans, we always listen to our bodies and our situations around us to make decisions on our life. Hey, it’s not always a bad thing to do. At times, we lose so many great opportunities. But it’s not our faults. We like to live in familiar and comfortable ways and whenever we must take a difficult decision we end up saying that it’s not the right time.

Today, I am here to share with you that with God everything is the right time. You might think that going through that situation is the wrong timings, but that is the opposite. You are going through those situations because it is the right time for it to happen. Have you ever gone through a situation and you thought to yourself “God, why now?” Then after a few months or even years, you look back and say “Wow, God you do everything for a reason. I went through this situation at the right time.” Yup, I have heard a lot of my friends and family say stuff like this. I am here to remind you that in all things, God knows what is best for you. IT IS THE RIGHT TIME.

From today’s verse in focus, we see that Naomi and Ruth entered Jerusalem when the barley harvest was beginning. This was the beginning to their many blessings. At that point, Naomi thought that everything going on in her life was at a wrong time. Her husbands and sons had passed away and she had to go back and rebuild her life in her hometown. To top it all off, she had to take care of her daughter-in-law because she (Ruth) was a foreigner in Bethlehem. Little did she know that she coming back to Bethlehem with Ruth was the best thing to do at the right time. Yes, this is evidence of how caring and good our God is. Are you not happy and comforted to know that I have someone looking out for me and fighting for me? I know I am.

Prayer Points: Today, I urge you to pray about any situation or thing that is bothering you. Give thanks to God about that situation. Seek God’s intervention in that problem and ask Him what way/ decisions to make. End the prayer by speak in tongues just to glorify Him.

Prayer for the day:

Oh Lord! I want to thank you for taking me through the night and waking me up this morning. I thank you for life, good health, strength and peace. God, continue to bless me so that I may be a blessing onto someone’s life. Guide in everything I do and protect me from harm’s way. I lift your name up for you are Alpha and Omega. I love you Lord.

Amen.

I am praying that today’s message reminded you of the Great God that we serve. I hope that the message encouraged you to stand strong and trust in God no matter what.

Always remember, as a Christian, IT IS THE RIGHT TIME!!
