Bible Reading: Ruth 2: 1- 3
Memory Verse: Ruth 2: 3
So she went out, entered a field and began to glean behind the harvesters. As it turned out, she was working in a field belonging to Boaz, who was from the clan of Elimelek.
Good morning everyone! I trust that everyone had an awesome weekend. I am back again today to give you your daily dose of Biblical medicine to enrich and grow your soul, mind and body.
Today, with episode 5, we are going to start looking at Ruth chapter 2. Yup! This whole week we would be looking at Ruth chapter 2. I am praying and hoping that today’s message would be a blessing to you and everyone around you.
Today’s message is something a lot of Christians do not like to hear and its entitled, “Your blessing comes with work.” Have you ever thought of how you hear some people’s testimonies and it’s just so easy and straight forward? Hmm. It just makes us question why we are going through a lot of to receive our blessings. We are constantly fasting, taking communion, singing praises, etc. so that we can receive our breakthroughs. For some people they pray a simple prayer and they receive their miracle or blessing. As humans, we are quick to draw conclusions. Does God even love me? Does God listen to me? Can God see everything I have done for him? But this is not the case. Every blessing comes with work.
On the flip side we hear other people testimonies and you go like, “wow, you have been through a lot!” Some of the trials that they face are beyond what you can imagine. Then we start to feel sympathy for these people. At times, we get jealous of how big their blessing is. Even with this case, the same principle is applied. Every blessing comes with work.
Work can come before or after your blessing. Regardless, your blessing comes with work. Working for your blessing is a sign not only to yourself but to God that when you receive that certain blessing, you would know how to keep it and use it well. Don’t feel discouraged when you have to work. Throughout the Bible this is evident. Even in today’s passage…
In the passage, we see that Ruth had to go and work in the fields, as a means of survival; for her mother-in-law and herself. All this was in preparation for God blessing on her life- her marriage to Boaz. Not only did she work but she worked on Boaz’s fields. This shows something very key. It shows that even though you are working towards your blessing, God is doing it at the right place, at the right time. So do not fret and do not be discouraged.
Remember, God would not let you do more than you can do. He knows your what you can handle and give you exactly that to handle. But do not forget, it is a decision you have to make as a Christian. You have to decide to work for God and stay allegiant to Him by working and trusting in Him.
Prayer points:
Pray for strength.
Pray for discernment that you would be able to make the right decisions.
Pray that you have the resilience to go through everything that you are going through.
Pray to always stay close to God and not depart from Him.
Pray that you will diligently work towards your miracle.
End by just worshipping and praising Him.
Today’s prayer:
Dear Lord,
I thank you for my life. I thank you for taking me through the weekend. I am glad that I am your child. I ask that you guide me and protect me in my every endeavor. I pray for strength in my all my activities I plan on taking today. I pray that I will choice you in every situation that I face. And that my life will be a testimony and an example to many that I have Christ living in me and that I serve the only living God. Thank you Lord for dying on the cross and wiping my sins away. I lift your name high for you are Alpha and Omega. I love you Lord.
In Jesus Name I pray.
Amen
I am praying that today’s message would remind you that God is always with us and that we have to make the decision all the time to be with him. Remember, YOUR BLESSING COMES WITH WORK, so diligently do it and trust in God, and He will bless you in multitudes.
Have a wonderful day and let God inspire you.
