Bible Reading: Ruth 3
Memory Verse: Ruth 3: 11b
All the people of my town know that you are a woman of noble character.
Good morning everyone! Hope you had a lovely night! We give God all the praises for giving us life this morning. Today’s dose of Biblical medicine is the eleventh episode in the Ruth Series. Each day, I am glad by the number of people who read and are blessed by Sammie’s Daily Dose. Today, the journey continues! We are going to explore the theme, “Character.”
Have you heard of people writing recommendations for others solely based on their character and not necessarily their hard work or merit? Well, yeah! It happens. Your character is very important. It is what people use to judge you; even though we instructed not to judge. Anyways this is a conversation for another time.
Your character s what you imprint on people. Your character is what maintains open doors. Your character is allowing you to nurture a gift God has given you. Your character tells if you can keep a blessing. Your character also determines what type of blessing you receive. Do you see how important character is? Yet a lot of people take I for granted.
Let your character show off Christ. When you do such, good things come to you. Today’s message is not a very long one. It’s just serving as a reminder to us that we should sit back relax and check our character. Character speaks a lot about a person. Your character determines a lot of things you do in your life. It affects your speaking, eating, dressing, laughter, driving and so many other things.
Remember, good character comes with blessings. When you have a good character, God would bless you abundantly. For not only does He know that whatever he gives you, you will use and maintain wisely but He knows that people’s lives would be blessed by you.
When God told me to write on this, I was very happy. This is because Christians today want to be in the middle. They want to have their cake and eat it too. Look at the number of so-called Christians who are involved in armed robbery, vault-thefts, kidnapping and many other outrageous things. It is very sad. We all as Christians must check our characters and check that of a fellow brother or sister in Christ. That is why it is sometimes difficult to get unbelievers to become Christians. They see Christians things that they preach against. How are we going to be fishers of men with such character we have? God will help us.
The beautiful thing about God is that He is guiding us and reminding us of our ways. His love for us is unfathomable. Imagine if it were you? Would you do same? Your answer to this will show you your character.
When you have a good character, it is visible to all. Like in the passage, we see that Boaz is not hesitant to give into Ruth’s requests because she was of good character. And like our memory verse says “All the people of my town know that you are a noble woman.”
I entreat you today to strive to be a noble man or noble woman. You will find favour in the eyes of God and He will bless you. God is welcoming, He will open His arms widely and embrace you; you just have to make the decision.

Today’s Prayer: Dear God,
I thank you for another wonderful day. I thank you for the Grace and the Mercy you show upon us. Lord I Cry onto you this morning on behalf of all my fellow Christians who do not have the strength to do so. Lord I pray that you strengthen them. Lord I pray that you heal them and comfort them and Lord I ask that you continue to give them a burning desire to know you. I thank you for their lives and their experiences; that it may not only be a blessing to them but to many. In Jesus Name I pray with thanksgiving.
Amen.
Remember always that God loves you. He openly sent His Son to die on the cross for you and I. We can equally show our love for God by having good characters that show the whole world that Christ lives in us.
