So on the seventh day He rested from all His work.
Good evening every one! Sorry for the delay today, there were some unforeseen circumstances preventing me from posting. From tomorrow, by God's Grace we will be back on track. Thank you for patiently waiting for your Daily Dose. Thank you for understanding.
Happy New month every one! I pray that this month will be full of blessings upon your life and that of your family. I pray that God will grant each and every one reading this message, a miracle. May He take you to greater heights. I also pray that August will be the month whereby you will rise up for God and do His work. Amen!
I hope you had a great day! Today, we are moving on to Genesis 2. We will be talking about rest. Do you know how important rest is? Well, rest is very important. Firstly, not only is rest good for your physical body but rest is also good for your spiritual body.
Physically when we rest, we allow our bodies to relax. When we do so we are strengthening our bodies and pit immune system. When you rest, you reduce the number of sicknesses that you catch. That's why it is very important to rest.
Spiritually, when you rest, it serves as a symbol to God that you depend on. You might ask yourself, "How so?" Well, when you rest, it is like you are telling God that you cannot fight the battle on your own. You are handing the battle over to Him. This is because in fact, you can not win all your battles without God.
I realise that there is a trend where no one rests but instead people are working day and night, chasing money. It is the plan of the enemy to destroy families and marriages. This is because an individual chasing money would not have the time to rest and spend time with his or her family. For any relationship to work, there must be some effort in it.
I know of a man who has two sons, all below the age of 5 years. He is so engrossed in making money that he works everyday. His children never see him. They are him only on Sundays at church. Can you imagine? How would these boys grow up? They do not have any father figure in their lives; even though their father is alive. Will you blame them if they grow up and do the same? Or if they become rebellious? No. These sort of cases most of the time, result in some emotional and/or psychological effects in children.
This is the seed of the enemy ( hunger for riches), that the enemy has planted against God's work. As Christians we must rise up and stop this trend.
I don't want to make this message a long one but I want to encourage you to find time to rest. It is a decision you have to make because there is always going to be something important you can use that time for. If rest was not important, do you think that God will rest as well? From our Bible Reading, we see that after God was done with creation, He rested. In fact, because God rested, it showed and shows how important rest is.
Though it is a decision, rest is not an easy thing to do. There are so many people longing for rest. Rest comes from the Lord. Do not confuse rest and sleep. Rest is when you are peace and most of the time, your mind, your body and your spirit are in sink. Most people are not reading, they claim they are but they are not. Even when the sit calmly and quietly, their minds are thinking of over 200 things all at the same time.
So I want to ask, do you want to rest? If your answer is yes, please repeat this prayer.
Dear Lord, thank you for today. Thank you for this message about rest. I know that I am not resting but instead chasing the things of this world. Father, I am sorry. I ask you to help me oh God. Lord, please give me rest. I want to be able to rest so that I will be healthy. I want to be able to rest, to spend time with my family. I want to rest to symbolise your might and your power. Thank you Lord for answered prayer. Amen.

Dear Lord, I come to you today as a sinner. I admit that I am a sinner. I believe that Jesus Christ is your Son and he came to this earth to die for my sins. Dear Lord, let your Son come and fill me and cleanse me from all unrighteousness. I am ready to stand for you and profess your Name. Thank you Lord. Amen.
If you said this prayer, congratulations! You are now part of God's family. God is giving you rest. Heaven is jubilating! I would encourage you to get yourself a Bible (in a version you appreciate) and read it constantly. From the Bible, you will know and understand God. I will encourage you to find a Bible- believing church to attend so that you can fellowship with other Christians.
Remember, rest is very important. Take some time off and reflect on the last time you rested. If it has been a while, I will encourage you to find time to rest; with God's help. Everyone's form of rest is different. Be true to yourself and rest the way you ought to. Resting is not a competition. So I ask you this question, "Are you resting?"

Oh Lord, I pray on behalf of your children. I thank you for a wonderful day. I pray that you protect us. Be with us, as we go to sleep this night. In Jesus Mighty Name
