The Genesis Story: Part 15- Are You From A Blessed Lineage?

Bible Reading: Genesis 5 Memory Verse: Genesis 5:1b When God created mankind, he made them in the likeness of God. Good evening ladies and gentlemen! I hope you had a wonderful day! Today’s message is Part 15 to The Genesis Story. I want to say thank you for embarking on this journey with me. It has been a blessing and a wonderful ride so far. God bless you. Today’s message is going to be a short one. We would be looking at our lineage. When we read the whole of Genesis 5, we see the names of the generations after Adam and Eve. You would realise something unique about them. They were all blessed with long life. Some of them lived for over 500 years. Can you imagine? 500 years? Long life is one of the ways in which God blesses us. In Psalm 100: 5, it says “For God good; his steadfast love endured forever, and his faithfulness to all generations.” God shows his faithfulness by blessing generations for many years. Is that not nice? Wouldn’t we want to experience such blessing in your family? Not only can we enjoy this physically, but we gave enjoy this spiritually. When we accept Christ into our heart, we are part of God’s family. Due to that, God has blessed us with eternity in Christ. Is that not amazing? As a Child of God, you get to enjoy long life physically and spiritually. Now we are spiritual sons and daughters of Abraham, we have a blessed lineage. That everyone in our spiritual family is blessed with eternal life. Today’s message is a very short one to show you that God is still in the blessings game. He can bless you in many areas; long life is one of them. Keep on reading Sammie’s Daily Dose to discover the other types of blessings God can shower upon our lives. If you read this short message, and you want to enjoy this blessing of both physical and spiritual then you must accept Christ as your Lord and personal savior. To do so, please repeat this short prayer. Dear Lord, I come to you today as a sinner. I admit that I am a sinner. I believe that Jesus is your Son and He came on to this earth to die for my sins. Dear Lord, let your Son come and fill me. Lord, I ask that He cleanses me off my sins. I am ready to stand for you and profess your Name. Thank you Lord. Amen. If you said this prayer, congratulations! You are now part of God’s family. Heaven is jubilating by your welcome. Hallelujah! You have been given new life. Now, you are enjoying the blessings of Christ physically and spiritually. To do so, I would encourage you to get yourself a Bible- in a version that you understand. Read it constantly. By doing this, you would be able to know and understand God better; as well as grow Spiritually. I will encourage you to find a Bible- believing church to attend, so that you can fellowship with other Christians. To my brothers and sisters in Christ, I would urge you to reaffirm your Faith. Make a decision to take God seriously and follow His Word. You will be assured of many blessings in your life. So the question for you to answer now is, “Are you from a blessed lineage?” Shalom. - Have a wonderful day and let God inspire you. Dear Lord, I thank you for this day.
