Bible Reading: Genesis 6
Memory Verse: Genesis 6: 9
These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God.
Good evening ladies and gentlemen! How are you all doing? Hope you had a great day? Mine was quite stressful and hectic but I thank God for giving me life today. Do you remember to thank God every day? If you don’t ill encourage you to. I am also embarking on a mini project of thanksgiving each day. Would you like to join me? If yes, send me a message and add your email address to the message. Let’s do this!!
I would like to use this opportunity to say thank you for taking the time to read this piece. Thank you for opening your hearts and allowing God to speak to you, direct you and transform you. God richly bless you. It is my prayer that whatever you learn from these messages; you do not keep it to yourself but spread the Good News to others, so that they may also be blessed.
Today, we are looking at interceding for our family. When we read Genesis 6, we see that God favoured Noah and his three sons and their wives. Noah’s sons and their wives escaped the wrath of God because their father walked with God. All in all, God is telling us that as Christians we can intercede for our family and even many generations to come. Your prayer for a family member, can change the destiny of that person forever. Despite your family issues or quarrels, pray for your family and generations to come. These prayers, as you continuously pray them, are like a seed being planted. As you continue to pray, the seed dies; as you continue, the seed starts to geminate and so on and so forth. When that seed now becomes a big tree, you will see the manifestations on the lives of your generations to come. Pray for that sister you are in a quarrel with. Pray for that brother you haven’t spoken to in years. Thanks to your intercession, that person would be exempted from Gods wrath and/ or protected from the enemy’s wrath.
Let’s look at this example. In Luke 23: 34, the Bibles says, “But Jesus was saying, ‘Father, forgive them; for they do not know what they are doing.’” This prayer is an intercessory prayer by Jesus Christ whilst He was on the cross. Here, He is pleading on behalf of His brothers and sisters. This intercessory prayer is what has helped many people because Jesus is sitting at God’s right hand side and is continuously interceding on our behalf. This is just like as though you are in trouble with your father and you ask your mother to intercede on your behalf by talking to your father. In this scenario, Jesus is taking the roll of the mother. He interceded for us in many, many matter. That is why we are all alive today- and of course by the Grace and Mercy of God.
This message is to encourage each and every single one of you to begin to pray for your family. The difference between your family and another person’s family is prayer. The family you have always hoped for can be achieved through prayer. So I urge you to take this seriously and you will see the change. You will see how blessed your family will be for generations to come. Hallelujah!
Would you like your family to a family full of people who are blessed, successful and/ or prosperous? Then the solution is Christ. You need Christ in your hearts. Are you ready to invite Christ into your heart? If you are, kindly repeat this prayer.
Dear Lord,
I come to you today as a sinner. I admit that I am a sinner. I believe that Jesus is your Son and He came on to this earth to die for my sins. Dear Lord, let your Son come and fill me. Lord, I ask that He cleanses me off my sins. I am ready to stand for you and profess your Name. Thank you Lord. Amen.
If you said this prayer, congratulations! You are now part of God’s family. Heaven is jubilating by your welcome. Hallelujah! You have been given new life. Hallelujah! You are already walking in eternity. To do so, I would encourage you to get yourself a well- translated Bible. Read it constantly. By doing this, you would be able to know and understand God better; as well as grow Spiritually. I will encourage you to find a Bible- believing church to attend, so that you can fellowship with other Christians. You have saved your family from the wrath of God and that of the enemy. Hallelujah!
So I urge you to also in this, take up Christ seriously. Without Him in your life, this life is not worth living. Continue to make that conscientious decision to follow Christ and you will not regret it. Amen!
Have a wonderful evening and let God inspire you.
