Bible Reading: Genesis 9

And the fear of you and the dread of you shall be upon every beast of the earth, and upon every fowl of the air, upon all that moveth upon the earth, and upon all the fishes of the sea; into your hand are they delivered.
Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen! How are you all doing? Hope you are great. How has your day been so far? Mine has been alright; there have been better days. But I know that my Redeemer liveth. Today, I just want to encourage you. There are days that you feel kind of down, or very upset. Things are not going the way you planned. Just know that it may not be your plan, but it is God’s plan for you. Do not fret. Do not be down. God’s got your back. Hallelujah!
Today’s episode is Part 32 of The Genesis Story. The book of Genesis is a book full of several messages and blessings God has promised His children. It is a very key book, as it is the first book of the Bible. I would say it is one of the very important books. It’s a symbolic guide for beginners of this walk with Christ. It encompasses so many things.

We are looking at Genesis chapter 9 verse 2. I will be targeting a short message today, let us see how this goes. In this verse, God was very precise about what we (His children) have power over. He was dealing with one aspect of our battles with the enemy- the physical body. All the things mentioned in this verse are the forms in which the enemy comes to taunt us.
God knew what we are to face ahead and He made provision for us to come out us winners. He has put everything you and I need to be victorious in us. We just have to believe and act upon it. These confessions have to be confessed each and every day. This promise has to sync with your mind, heart and body. Only then will it begin to manifest. That is why we are encouraged to repeat things several times. When we do so, our words move from our mouths into our hearts, then the mind and lastly our bodies. With God’s help me can claim each and every promise/ blessing He has given us.
You might ask, “Where is this power coming from?” Well, as Christians (who have been baptized by Immersion- this topic would be delved into in latter posts to come), in the spiritual realms, we are no longer yourself we have put on Christ. In the spiritual realms, we have Christ covering our faces. The enemy does not see us, but instead Christ. That is why we have all the power we do. Is that not amazing? We have a very bright light radiating off us in the spiritual world. The enemy cannot even come close to us.
The reason why the enemy does get is due to the fact that we are not sure of this. We doubt the power that Christ has given us. We become unfocused on the goal. In this confusion and denial, our light grows dimer and dimer. During this instance, the enemy can approach us and deceive us with a fake representation of God. Also, a lot of Christians do not know the truth about God; when the enemy approaches them with something that looks like Christ on the outside, we fall for it.
Christians it is time for this behavior to change. We are children of God and we must accept it and be certain of it. Have you ever denied your earthly parents who do not do even a quarter of what God does for us? Then why do we deny God? It is very sad. We must equip ourselves right, by first of all, believing totally in Christ. There are so many people who claim that they are Christians, however they do not believe in God, Christ and the holy Spirit. They are luke- warm. This sort of thinking can even be found amongst church leaders and elders. We as Christians must all come together and help each other out. Be a support system for each other. We must strengthen and equip ourselves for battle. The enemy has been enjoying for a long time now. We must stand and put an end to it.
If you would like to have this sort of Power that God has given to His children, kindly repeat this prayer with all sincerity.
Dear Lord,
I come to you today as a sinner. I admit that I am a sinner. I believe that Jesus is your Son and He came on to this earth to die for my sins. Dear Lord, let your Son come and fill me. Lord, I ask that He cleanses me off my sins. I am ready to stand for you and profess your Name. Thank you Lord. Amen.
If you repeated this prayer with all the sincerity of your heart, congratulations!! You are now a part of God’s family. Welcome to the greatest family ever. Heaven is jubilating on your arrival. Your fellow brothers and sisters are also excited to have you on board. You can now be exempted from the wrath of the enemy and of God. Not only do you experience this, but your whole family as well. Wow! Isn’t the God you serve so cool? He is. Not only do you enjoy this, but you enjoy other blessings God has in store for His children.
Being a child of God is a wonderful thing. The road might not always be easy but God is with you each and every step of the way. Guiding you, helping you and encouraging up. You will never regret this decision; I can assure you of that. Two things I would recommend for you to do are;
Get yourself a Bible (in a version you understand) and meditate on it day and night. In Joshua 1:8, we are told that when you meditate on the Word day and night, you will be prosperous and successful.
Find a Bible- believing church to attend and fellowship with other Christians. This would help you grow spiritually.

I would like to end this message by just encouraging you. I am not perfect. I am also trying to do my best in this walk. I believe that by the Grace of God, I will be the person He wants me to become. I just want to encourage you that you can do it. God will help you to. It is the most rewarding thing to do, serving and following your Father. Don’t give up. Keep on keeping on. Don’t be shy to ask for help, as Christians we should help one another. Also, do not limit yourself, help a fellow brother or sister.
