The 100th Post Anniversary Special: Episode 1 of 3- Who are we quick to Blame?

Sammie

Bible Reading: Genesis 16

Memory Verse: Genesis 16: 5

Then Sarai said to Abram, “You are responsible for the wrong I am suffering. I put my slave in your arms, and now that she knows she is pregnant, she despises me. May the Lord judge between you and me.”

Good evening Ladies and Gentlemen! It’s our hundredth post today!! Yay!! We thank God for His mercies and Grace. He has brought us thus far and He will take us even further. Today, we are continuing the Genesis Story with verse 5. We would be exploring the topic- “Who are we quick to blame?”

Before this, we see Sarai telling Abram to have a child with her maid servant. Now, we see that Sarai’s maid servant is pregnant. The maid servant now treats her mistress badly because she is carrying the master’s child. We see Sarai coming to Abram to blame him for her maidservant’s behavior.

Most times, we are quick to blame others or blame God for predicaments that we have caused. We scheme or plan something to go a certain way; however, things go south. We blame everything around us apart from ourselves.

We blame people, we blame the weather, we blame other things; just to feel better and not judge ourselves. Is that what we are supposed to do?

I hear a lot of Christians fall into hardship and blame God. When they lose loved ones, they blame God. When they lose their jobs, they blame God. When they fail a course, they blame God. We do not take our time to reflect and see what our fault are. Everyone is perfect in their own eyes.

God is telling us that we must be careful what we do and wish for. This is because the consequence of our actions is our fault. This is because we made the choice to do that specific thing. We cannot go around and blame something else for our choice.

My brother or sister in Christ, God is with us in everything we do. If you seek Him in everything you do, He would guide your decision- making. You must then make the choice to listen to Him and obey Him. The question is- are you ready to? God bless you!

If you are reading Sammie’s Daily Dose for the first time or you feel inspired this evening to join God’s family- by accepting Christ into your heart; kindly repeat this prayer.

Dear Lord,

I come to you today as a sinner. I admit that I am a sinner. I believe that Jesus is your Son and He came on to this earth to die for my sins. Dear Lord, let your Son come and fill me. Lord, I ask that He cleanses me off my sins. I am ready to stand for you and profess your Name. Thank you, Lord. Amen.

If you repeated this prayer with all the sincerity of your heart, congratulations!! You are now a part of God’s family. Welcome to the greatest family ever. Heaven is jubilating on your arrival. Your fellow brothers and sisters are also excited to have you on board. You can now be exempted from the wrath of the enemy and of God. Not only do you experience this, but your whole family as well. Wow! Isn’t the God you serve so cool? He is. Not only do you enjoy this, but you enjoy other blessings God has in store for His children.

Being a child of God is a wonderful thing. The road might not always be easy, but God is with you each and every step of the way. Guiding you, helping you and encouraging up. You will never regret this decision; I can assure you of that. Two things I would recommend for you to do are;

  1. Get yourself a Bible (in a version you understand) and meditate on it day and night. In Joshua 1:8, we are told that when you meditate on the Word day and night, you will be prosperous and successful.

  2. Find a Bible- believing church to attend and fellowship with other Christians. This would help you grow spiritually.

I am excited that you made this decision. Welcome! If you would like some help or more understanding into anything, you can leave a message (adding your email address) and I would be willing and happy to help you out. Hallelujah!

  • Have a wonderful day and let God inspire you!
