Bible Reading: Genesis 23
Memory Verse: Genesis 23: 1
Sarah lived to be a hundred and twenty-seven years old.
Good morning ladies and gentlemen! How are you all doing? I hope your Monday has started off to a great start. Today, we would be starting another journey. This week, we would be exploring Genesis 23. I am very excited about this. I hope you are too.
Today’s message is a very short and encouraging one. From the verse we are looking at, we see that Sarah lived a long time. Her one hundred and twenty-seven years on earth may be short compared to others who lived before her. Regardless, it is a very long time. how many people do you here of living till 80 years? Very few. This is quite sad.
As Christians God has promised us long life both on earth and in heaven (lol, which is forever). We have to claim it and stand by faith with it. In Psalm 91:16, God tells us directly that with long life, He will satisfy us and show us His salvation. Is this not wonderful? Would it not be nice to live a very long life to be able to see your children, grandchildren and great- grandchildren?
All of this depends on the Faith you have. In times of sickness and in health, you must keep confessing this promise God has given you. This is the only way that it will be achieved. Would you not like to live over one hundred years on earth; protected and guided by the arm of God? I know I will. The best thing about this is that, because I am a child of God, my life will be full. Not evil come next to me. Not harm shall before me. I am a conqueror and I have defeated the enemy a long time ago.
From Psalm 91, God said He will satisfy me. On earth, one thing that we are always dissatisfied with is how fast time goes. You hear many people make a comment that life is short, and you must make the best out of it. Yes indeed, life is short; compared to eternity in heaven. Even on earth, God has promised us long life. This brings us some satisfaction. Most importantly, the uttermost satisfaction is felt in heaven through eternal life. Would you not want to feel satisfied on earth as well? I know I would.
As I was writing today’s message, the Holy Spirit dropped the title and the message through a song a 2007 song by Israel Houghton and New Breed with the same title. I will encourage you to listen to the song and meditate on the lyrics. God bless.
The prayer below is for everyone reading who will like to live a long and satisfying life. The prayer is also for anyone who feels heavily convicted to join God’s family. I will urge you to pray this short prayer sincerely.
Dear Lord,
I come to you today as a sinner. I admit that I am a sinner. I believe that Jesus is your Son and He came on to this earth to die for my sins. Dear Lord, let your Son come and fill me. Lord, I ask that He cleanses me off my sins. I am ready to stand for you and profess your Name. Thank you, Lord. Amen.
If you repeated this prayer with all the sincerity of your heart, congratulations!! You are now a part of God’s family. Welcome to the greatest family ever. Heaven is jubilating on your arrival. Your fellow brothers and sisters are also excited to have you on board. You can now be exempted from the wrath of the enemy and of God. Not only do you experience this, but your whole family as well. Wow! Isn’t the God you serve so cool? He is. Not only do you enjoy this, but you enjoy other blessings God has in store for His children.
Being a child of God is a wonderful thing. The road might not always be easy, but God is with you each and every step of the way. Guiding you, helping you and encouraging up. You will never regret this decision; I can assure you of that. Two things I would recommend for you to do are;
Get yourself a Bible (in a version you understand) and meditate on it day and night. In Joshua 1:8, we are told that when you meditate on the Word day and night, you will be prosperous and successful.
Find a Bible- believing church to attend and fellowship with other Christians. This would help you grow spiritually.
I am excited that you made this decision. Welcome! If you would like some help or more understanding into anything, you can leave a message (adding your email address) and I would be willing and happy to help you out. Hallelujah!
Have a wonderful day and let God inspire you!

Always remember to show love to everyone, as this is one of the most important commandments God left for us – “Love your neighbor as yourself.” In every situation, before you take a decision, remember WWJD (What Would Jesus Do). Shalom.
Please spend some time praying for Sammie’s Daily Dose to continue to be the platform for the sharing of The Gospel. Amen.
