Bible Reading: Genesis 24
Memory Verse: Genesis 24:1
Abraham was now very old, and the Lord had blessed him in every way.
Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen. How are you all? I apologize for not posting on Sammie’s Daily Dose for the past one and a half weeks. We are back and we are continuing the Genesis Story. We will be looking at Genesis 24 this week.
Today, we would be looking at the theme, “May the Lord bless you in every way!” We would be focusing on verse one of Chapter 24. From the verse, we are told that Abraham had been blessed in every way throughout his lifetime. I am here to tell you to let you know that this is one of your rewards as a child of God.
Once you become a child of God, you begin to receive a lot of blessings; as a reward. Most of the time, many people are told of the blessings, however, they are not told that it is not an easy journey. Many Christians do not know about the ups and downs, the tests, the trials, etc. The perks of being God’s child comes in your ability to trust Him, listen to Him and obey Him. Your actions during the difficult times; your belief during the difficult times, is what determines the magnitude of your blessings.
When you take a look at Abraham’s life, he served God willingly and whole-heartedly. He obeyed God’s every direction. He made sacrifices for God and lived his life for God. This is how come he was able to be blessed in every way. I pray that you too may be blessed in every way. I pray that in your old age, you will be fulfilled and have lived a worthwhile live on earth for Christ.
Would you not like to enjoy God’s blessings like Abraham did? I know I do. To ensure this, we have to build ourselves in Christ to ensure that we build our faith in Him. We must meditate on His Word and pray without ceasing. We (as Christians) also have a helper- the Holy Spirit- who is available to guide us, comfort us, etc. These are the basic fundamentals every Christian need to live a Christ-like life.
This year I am making changes in my lifestyle, incorporate God more. I plan to dedicate more time to studying the Word and waiting upon God. You can join me in this journey of living a Christ- like and Christ-filled life. We can do it; we just have to set our minds to it and work at it. I pray that God would give us the strength to do it. Hallelujah! So that when you are very old, you too will have been blessed in every way. Hallelujah!
The prayer below is for people who are sad about the events going on in their lives. People who have lost hope or about to lose hope. This prayer is to allow you to join a family full of joy and happiness. Please say this prayer with all sincerity.
Dear Lord,
I come to you today as a sinner. I admit that I am a sinner. I believe that Jesus is your Son and He came on to this earth to die for my sins. Dear Lord, let your Son come and fill me. Lord, I ask that He cleanses me off my sins. I am ready to stand for you and profess your Name. Thank you, Lord. Amen.
If you repeated this prayer with all the sincerity of your heart, congratulations!! You are now a part of God’s family. Welcome to the greatest family ever. Heaven is jubilating on your arrival. Your fellow brothers and sisters are also excited to have you on board. You can now be exempted from the wrath of the enemy and of God. Not only do you experience this, but your whole family as well. Wow! Isn’t the God you serve so cool? He is. Not only do you enjoy this, but you enjoy other blessings God has in store for His children.
Being a child of God is a wonderful thing. The road might not always be easy, but God is with you each and every step of the way. Guiding you, helping you and encouraging up. You will never regret this decision; I can assure you of that. Two things I would recommend for you to do are;
Get yourself a Bible (in a version you understand) and meditate on it day and night. In Joshua 1:8, we are told that when you meditate on the Word day and night, you will be prosperous and successful.
Find a Bible- believing church to attend and fellowship with other Christians. This would help you grow spiritually.
I am excited that you made this decision. Welcome! If you would like some help or more understanding into anything, you can leave a message (adding your email address) and I would be willing and happy to help you out. Hallelujah!
Have a wonderful day and let God inspire you!

Always remember to show love to everyone, as this is one of the most important commandments God left for us – “Love your neighbor as yourself.” In every situation, before you take a decision, remember WWJD (What Would Jesus Do). Shalom.
Please spend some time praying for Sammie’s Daily Dose to continue to be the platform for the sharing of The Gospel. Amen.
