Bible Reading: Genesis 25
Memory Verse: Genesis 25: 21c
The Lord answered his prayer…
Good morning ladies and gentlemen. How are you all doing? I hope your morning has began wonderfully. Today, we are continuing our journey through Genesis 25. We would be looking at prayer. Let us get right into it.
The verse we are looking at, once again, is very straight forward and short. It tells us that God answered Isaac’s prayer. And He will do the same for you.
When you read the passage (Genesis 25), you find out that Isaac and Rebekah had children when he, Isaac, was sixty years. The Bible tells us in Genesis 25:20 that Isaac was forty years when he married Rebekah. He waited on the Lord, praying, for 20 years. Wow! But God answered his prayers.
There are many people who have been praying about something for a very long time. It seems as though God is not answering your prayer request. Trust me! He will answer your prayer, at the right time. You might be praying for a house or a car or a job, however, after six months, after a year, your prayer is not answered. Just continue to trust God and serve Him diligently.
God answers prayer at the right time; not in your time. God's answer to your praye is dependent on what you pray for or about. We must pray for things that are according to His Will. In 1 John 5:14, the Bible says, “This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to His will, he hears us.” One important question you have to ask yourself is whether your prayer requests are in line with God’s will.
Today’s message is one to encourage not to lose hope and trust in God. He will answer your prayer. It might not be when we want or when we estimate it to be. God answers all prayers at the right time. The time He knows that you will be able to appreciate and take care of the thing you are asking. At times, God’s answer to our prayers is to wait because He is protecting us form something harmful which might had occurred if you had received what you had asked for. At times, you might think God has delayed in answering your prayers; He wants to test your faithfulness and trust in Him.
My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, keep on trusting in God. He never fails. You may have to wait for a year or 20 years, like Isaac, for your answer. Just know that God will answer your prayer and it will be beautiful. Look at Isaac, he prayed for a child and got a set of twins. When God answers your prayer, it will be exactly what you wanted and even more. God bless.
If you are tired of not being heard or not getting your answers; this prayer is for you. If you have read this message, and you have a strong urge to join God’s family; this prayer is also for you. I urge you to pray this short prayer with all sincerity in your heart.
Dear Lord,
I come to you today as a sinner. I admit that I am a sinner. I believe that Jesus is your Son and He came on to this earth to die for my sins. Dear Lord, let your Son come and fill me. Lord, I ask that He cleanses me off my sins. I am ready to stand for you and profess your Name. Thank you, Lord. Amen.
If you repeated this prayer with all the sincerity of your heart, congratulations!! You are now a part of God’s family. Welcome to the greatest family ever. Heaven is jubilating on your arrival. Your fellow brothers and sisters are also excited to have you on board. You can now be exempted from the wrath of the enemy and of God. Not only do you experience this, but your whole family as well. Wow! Isn’t the God you serve so cool? He is. Not only do you enjoy this, but you enjoy other blessings God has in store for His children.
Being a child of God is a wonderful thing. The road might not always be easy, but God is with you each and every step of the way. Guiding you, helping you and encouraging up. You will never regret this decision; I can assure you of that. Two things I would recommend for you to do are;
Get yourself a Bible (in a version you understand) and meditate on
