Bible Reading: Genesis 25
Memory Verse: Genesis 25: 27
The boys grew up, and Esau became a skillful hunter, a man of the open country, while Jacob was content to stay at home among the tents.
Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen! Once again, we have come to the end of another beautiful journey; exploring the word of God. I have particularly enjoyed this week’s messages and learnt a lot from it as well. I pray you all enjoyed it as much as I did.
To crown this journey, we would be looking at Genesis chapter 25 and verse 27. From this verse, we would understand the importance of “roles” in our lives. Just relax and let’s take the final lap through Genesis 25.
From the verse in question, we see that Esau and Jacob, both, had roles to do. Some people may call it their career; others may call it their duty on earth; some may call it their purpose in life. In this message, we would be calling it our roles on earth.
Everyone has their role on earth. Everyone’s role is different. Look at Esau and Jacob, they are twins, yet, they had completely different roles. Esau was a skillful hunter and Jacob stayed at home among the tents. Your role on earth is specific to your attitude, behavior and interests/passions.
Someone might say that there are several of the same role available all around the world, for example; there are many CEOs around the world. Well, that is a very legitimate question to ask.
Well, it’s a different role because each company has specific goals, specific visions, etc. Though the role may have the same name; the job is totally different in this aspect. Also, every individual has different attitudes and ambitions. This makes every individual’s way of work and style of work very different. People may have similar role descriptions, however, they are producing different things.
Do not try and change who you are. Stay true to your passions. Take up the role that you know is best suited for you. Do not look at someone else's role and want the life or the role that person has. S/he has been created specifically for that role. God has created you with specific things; whereby there is a specific role you have to play out in society.
The role that you play is what would help to carve out your purpose. Yes! In your various roles, God is equipping you with the right things you need to carry out your purpose. Many people have their roles being their purpose in live. Other people discover that their purpose is derived from their roles. Do not take your roles lightly. No matter how you may feel about in the flesh. Whatever opportunity which comes your way, cease it. Learn from it. It is all preparation to your purpose.
This message is just to encourage everyone who reads Sammie’s Daily Dose. Whether you are a student, a worker, a stay-at-home parent, etc. learn from the role. Develop yourself. Do not let your flesh come up with reasons; which may result in you loosing from all that God wants you to experience. Remember, roles are ever-changing. You will not be in the same role forever. Make the best out of it HUMBLY! God bless.
The prayer below is for anyone who is confused about the next step in their lives’ and they need some help with their roles. Kindly say this prayer with all sincerity.
Dear Lord,
I come to you today as a sinner. I admit that I am a sinner. I believe that Jesus is your Son and He came on to this earth to die for my sins. Dear Lord, let your Son come and fill me. Lord, I ask that He cleanses me off my sins. I am ready to stand for you and profess your Name. Thank you, Lord. Amen.
If you repeated this prayer with all the sincerity of your heart, congratulations!! You are now a part of God’s family. Welcome to the greatest family ever. Heaven is jubilating on your arrival. Your fellow brothers and sisters are also excited to have you on board. You can now be exempted from the wrath of the enemy and of God. Not only do you experience this, but your whole family as well. Wow! Isn’t the God you serve so cool? He is. Not only do you enjoy this, but you enjoy other blessings God has in store for His children.
Being a child of God is a wonderful thing. The road might not always be easy, but God is with you each and every step of the way. Guiding you, helping you and encouraging up. You will never regret this decision; I can assure you of that. Two things I would recommend for you to do are;
Get yourself a Bible (in a version you understand) and meditate on it day and night. In Joshua 1:8, we are told that when you meditate on the Word day and night, you will be prosperous and successful.
Find a Bible- believing church to attend and fellowship with other Christians. This would help you grow spiritually.
I am excited that you made this decision. Welcome! If you would like some help or more understanding into anything, you can leave a message (adding your email address) and I would be willing and happy to help you out. Hallelujah!
Have a wonderful day and let God inspire you!

Always remember to show love to everyone, as this is one of the most important commandments God left for us – “Love your neighbor as yourself.” In every situation, before you take a decision, remember WWJD (What Would Jesus Do). Shalom.
Please spend some time praying for Sammie’s Daily Dose to continue to be the platform for the sharing of The Gospel. Amen.
