Bible Reading: Genesis 26
Memory Verse: Genesis 26:2-3a
The Lord appeared to Isaac and said, “Do not go down to Egypt; live in the land where I tell you to live. Stay in this land for a while, and I will be with you and will bless you.
Good morning ladies and gentlemen! How are you all doing? Are you excited to begin another journey? I am!!! This week we are taking a journey through Genesis 26. Let us have fun together!
Today, we would be looking at the land God has assigned to each and every single one of us! From the verses we are looking at, we see that Isaac had plans of moving from the land God had given him. However, God told him to stay in the land and He will bless Him. Most importantly, He will be with Isaac through it all. I dedicate this message to each and every single person reading today's message.
When we read the first verse of the chapter, we are told that there was a famine. The famine is a physical representation of trials and temptations. God is telling us that when we are grooming/ taking care of our land, there are times when you will xperience some trials and temptations.
When these trials and temptations come our way, most of us tend to act like Isaac, we want to find an easier way out. We want to leave the trouble and our land for something more stable. We let fear overcome us that we forget to turn to God for direction. However, this is not what God wants us to do. He gave us the land specifically because He knew that we were the right people to take care of it. God knew that we had the right things to go through all the trials and temptations that may come our way. Do not give up on your land.
From the memory verses we are focusing on, in this message, we see that God appeared to Isaac and told him to stay in the land He had chosen for him. He told him that He (God) will be with him and He will bless him. From these verses, God is telling us that we should hang on to the land He has given us for a while because our breakthroughs are coming. He is telling us that through the trials and temptations; he is with us and he will be there to help us. He is telling us that He will bless us because He knows that at the end of it all, your land will bear fruits in multiple folds.
My brother or sister in Christ, it not time to give up. God is using His word to reassure you that whatever you are doing is not a mistake. God is using these verses to strengthen and to remind you that He is there for you all the time. You just have to trust in Him.
I know that it’s difficult. I know that you cannot see the end now, but trust that God would help you see the end. The trial period may take days, months or even years; just know that you are conqueror. God has fully equipped you to succeed. Claim your victory and recover what is yours. God bless you.
The prayer below is for anyone who is tried of running away from the trials and temptations of the enemy. God is waiting for you with arms open wide and He is willing to make you a conqueror. You just have to say this short prayer, sincerely.
Dear Lord,
I come to you today as a sinner. I admit that I am a sinner. I believe that Jesus is your Son and He came on to this earth to die for my sins. Dear Lord, let your Son come and fill me. Lord, I ask that He cleanses me off my sins. I am ready to stand for you and profess your Name. Thank you, Lord. Amen.
If you repeated this prayer with all the sincerity of your heart, congratulations!! You are now a part of God’s family. Welcome to the greatest family ever. Heaven is jubilating on your arrival. Your fellow brothers and sisters are also excited to have you on board. You can now be exempted from the wrath of the enemy and of God. Not only do you experience this, but your whole family as well. Wow! Isn’t the God you serve so cool? He is. Not only do you enjoy this, but you enjoy other blessings God has in store for His children.
Being a child of God is a wonderful thing. The road might not always be easy, but God is with you each and every step of the way. Guiding you, helping you and encouraging up. You will never regret this decision; I can assure you of that. Two things I would recommend for you to do are;
Get yourself a Bible (in a version you understand) and meditate on it day and night. In Joshua 1:8, we are told that when you meditate on the Word day and night, you will be prosperous and successful.
Find a Bible- believing church to attend and fellowship with other Christians. This would help you grow spiritually.
I am excited that you made this decision. Welcome! If you would like some help or more understanding into anything, you can leave a message (adding your email address) and I would be willing and happy to help you out. Hallelujah!
Have a wonderful day and let God inspire you!
