The Genesis Story: Part 103- Christians! Love & Embrace one another!

Topic: Christians! Love & Embrace one another?

Bible Reading: Genesis 29

Memory Verse: Genesis 29: 11 & 12

Then Jacob kissed Rachel and began to weep aloud. He had told Rachel that he was a relative of her father and a son of Rebekah. So she ran and told her father.

Good morning ladies and gentlemen! How are you all doing? How has your day been so far? It’s been great, in my perspective. This week, we are taking a journey through Genesis 29. I am very excited. Last week’s messages were full of power; it was wonderful. I pray that the week’s message would be that and even more. God bless you all!

From the verse, we see that the warmth and embraces that were exchanged between Jacob and Rachel; once they introduced each other as relatives. As Christians, we must be very welcoming and warm to our fellow brothers and sisters. We are all spiritually related. We are spiritual siblings.

However, the opposite happens. You find many Christians who are filled with hatred amongst one another or anger. That is not right. As Christians, we must be willing to help each other out. We must be willing to support each other. We must be willing to guide each other.

Now, churches are full of segmentation between the congregation and political rivalry between church elders and church administration. As brothers and sisters, we should not be acting this way! Why is the church more divide than ever? Is this the example we should show to the world? To people who want to become Christians? Is this what God wants us to do? Do you think He is happy with us?

One of the most difficult things is for Christians to show love towards each other. In a community, the quarrels are by Christians. The envy, the jealously; seen amongst Christians. Why? That is not right! We must live in love. That is one of the most important traits God has. If not for His love for you and I, where would we be at this moment? We want to live Christ-like lives; yet, we do not practice what it is all about.

At times, we complain that it is difficult to go out and preach the Gospel. How and why would someone want to become a Christian, when s/he sees that we do not the practice what we preach. It is not only by your words; also, by your lifestyle. A lot of people look out for Christians to see how they live their lives. Yet, we indulge in practices that is the direct opposite. Do you think they would be willing to give their lives to Christ?

Many Christians, take this lightly; however, the enemy is trying to break- up Christians. We are giving him all the attention he wants. Many Christians do not act in love to another, for various minute reasons. Other times, it fueled by thoughts from the enemy- by things of the world such as; money and power.

As a church, we must rise up and face this issue before it worsens. Did you know that some Christians do not go to church because of the fear of being judged? That is not right! We are not supposed to judge anyone! We have no right to do so! This is one underlying reason the church is losing its congregation. However, no one recognizes it because it is happening in very small numbers. No one finds it an issue until it becomes a serious problem.

I always say that as Christians we must always be aware of the things that happen in our environme. Anything that is off, we must pick it up in prayer. Christians sometimes underestimate the enemy. His sole goal is to steal, kill and destroy. He will find every means to do so. The enemy has grown smarter and wittier; God has given us the tools (which have stood the test of time) that can overcome the devil’s cunning ways.

As Christians, we must rise up and pray for the spread of love amongst ourselves and a change of lifestyle. We are Christ-like disciples. Let us live as such! God bless you!!

The prayer below is for anyone who wants to be filled with love. God is love. He is waiting to pour out His love to you! Just make the decision to join His family and experience the love.

Dear Lord,

I come to you today as a sinner. I admit that I am a sinner. I believe that Jesus is your Son and He came on to this earth to die for my sins. Dear Lord, let your Son come and fill me. Lord, I ask that He cleanses me off my sins. I am ready to stand for you and profess your Name. Thank you, Lord. Amen.

If you repeated this prayer with all the sincerity of your heart, congratulations!! You are now a part of God’s family. Welcome to the greatest family ever. Heaven is jubilating on your arrival. Your fellow brothers and sisters are also excited to have you on board. You can now be exempted from the wrath of the enemy and of God. Not only do you experience this, but your whole family as well. Wow! Isn’t the God you serve so cool? He is. Not only do you enjoy this, but you enjoy other blessings God has in store for His children.

Being a child of God is a wonderful thing. The road might not always be easy, but God is with you each and every step of the way. Guiding you, helping you and encouraging up. You will never regret this decision; I can assure you of that. Two things I would recommend for you to do are;

  1. Get yourself a Bible (in a version you understand) and meditate on it day and night. In Joshua 1:8, we are told that when you meditate on the Word day and night, you will be prosperous and successful.

  2. Find a Bible- believing church to attend and fellowship with other Christians. This would help you grow spiritually.

I am excited that you made this decision. Welcome! If you would like some help or more understanding into anything, you can leave a message (adding your email address) and I would be willing and happy to help you out. Hallelujah!

  • Have a wonderful day and let God inspire you!

Always remember to show love to everyone, as this is one of the most important commandments God left for us – “Love your neighbor as yourself.” In every situation, before you take a decision, remember WWJD (What Would Jesus Do). Shalom.

Please spend some time praying for Sammie’s Daily Dose to continue to be the platform for the sharing of The Gospel. Amen.
