Topic: You are protected by God!
Bible Reading: Genesis 35
Memory Verse: Genesis 35:5
Then they set out, and the terror of God fell on the towns all around them so that no one pursued them.
Good morning ladies and gentlemen! How are you all doing? Hope your day has started on a great note. Mine has! God gives me confirmation every day that He is with me through all things. Is that not amazing- to have God’s guidance and protection each day! Today, we are going explore how God protects you! Let us get right into it!
From the memory verse (Genesis 35:5), we see that God protected Jacob on his household by causing neighboring towns (possibly on the route to the land they were going) to be filled with terror. This prevented them from attacking Jacob and his household; as they came past these towns. Is God not wonderful? He always keeps to his word.
Why is it that Christians are worried about protection? Do they know that God’s got us? These are a few questions that come to mind when I hear people strategically thinking about their safety (especially when God has called them on a journey)? Why do we do this? Do we doubt God’s Word?
Look at what God did for Jacob and his household! He caused terror in others! Do you know what that means? These neighboring towns were afraid to attack Jacob and his household! If He has done this, why can’t He do this for you? Towns are even small. God can protect you against kings, against nations. You just have to trust in Him and believe in His Word.
Today, I have been sent to give you this short message- God is with you! Do not spend your time worrying and full of fear. The Almighty God, the God of the heavens and the earth is protecting you against the dangers of the world- both physical and spiritual. Do not fret! Using your efforts to protect yourself from the enemy would only result in partial protection. You may be able to protect yourself from physical obstacles and obstructions. What about the spiritual part? God’s protection is wholistic; it covers every aspect possible that the enemy would use to destroy you. Which would you prefer? I would leave that for you to decide.
Many Christians find it difficult to trust in God’s word. Well, this is due to the fact that many Christians have not fully soaked themselves in the Word. I would like to urge each and every single one of us to spend some time reading, studying and meditating on the Word. These are three different things- Sammie’s Daily Dose would be talking about these in the near future. Watch out for it! Hallelujah!
So my brothers and sisters in Christ, go forth with the knowledge and belief that God is protecting you (on every front of the battlefield). Hallelujah!
The prayer below is for anyone reading this message and has been living a life full of fear. God does not call for fear, instead joy, happiness and peace. Make that decision to join His family and experience the good life!
Dear Lord,
I come to you today as a sinner. I admit that I am a sinner. I believe that Jesus is your Son and He came on to this earth to die for my sins. Dear Lord, let your Son come and fill me. Lord, I ask that He cleanses me off my sins. I am ready to stand for you and profess your Name. Thank you, Lord. Amen.
If you repeated this prayer with all the sincerity of your heart, congratulations!! You are now a part of God’s family. Welcome to the greatest family ever. Heaven is jubilating on your arrival. Your fellow brothers and sisters are also excited to have you on board. You can now be exempted from the wrath of the enemy and of God. Not only do you experience this, but your whole family as well. Wow! Isn’t the God you serve so cool? He is. Not only do you enjoy this, but you enjoy other blessings God has in store for His children.
Being a child of God is a wonderful thing. The road might not always be easy, but God is with you each and every step of the way. Guiding you, helping you and encouraging up. You will never regret this decision; I can assure you of that. Two things I would recommend for you to do are;
Get yourself a Bible (in a version you understand) and meditate on it day and night. In Joshua 1:8, we are told that when you meditate on the Word day and night, you will be prosperous and successful.
Find a Bible- believing church to attend and fellowship with other Christians. This would help you grow spiritually.
I am excited that you made this decision. Welcome! If you would like some help or more understanding into anything, you can leave a message (adding your email address) and I would be willing and happy to help you out. Hallelujah!
Have a wonderful day and let God inspire you!

Always remember to show love to everyone, as this is one of the most important commandments God left for us – “Love your neighbor as yourself.” In every situation, before you take a decision, remember WWJD (What Would Jesus Do). Shalom.
