Topic: The 8 Principles for the 21st Century Christian (Part 3)
Bible Reading: Genesis 41
Good morning ladies and gentlemen! How are you all doing? Sammie’s Daily Dose is back today with Principle number 4. How have you enjoyed the first three Principles? Have you learnt a few things from the Principles? Don’t keep it to yourself! Share with (others your friends, family, colleagues, classmates, etc.) From posting these Principles, God is also revealing more things to me. It is very exciting; I hope you are excited too. Let us get right into Principle number 4…
To begin, let us take a look at Genesis 41: 16…
“I cannot do it,” Joseph replied to Pharaoh, “but God will give Pharaoh the answer he desires.”
In addition to this verse, let us take a look at Genesis 41: 25…
Then Joseph said to Pharaoh, “The dreams of Pharaoh are one and the same. God has revealed to Pharaoh what he is about to do…”
Principle 4: It is to God’s Glory; put Him FIRST!
It is important for all 21stCentury Christians to know that everything is to God’s Glory. We must learn to accept this! For there is nothing that goes on in this world that is by our might. This is the truth! It is high- time we realize this and put God first.
In many aspects of our lives, we have taken God for granted. We think that we sleep and wake up by our own might. We believe that our body can be cured doctors. We believe and trust in our own might in a majority of things; thinking that we only acknowledge God in only the small things. This is not the case.
Everything we do, all that we are, all that we own is for God’s Glory. Without Him, you would not be able to achieve all that you have. The one thing we can do for God is to acknowledge Him. This is a way of saying you appreciate all He does for you. It that a very difficult task?
Well, I do understand that at times we do not realize that we are taking God’s Glory! I know! That’s because it is in our nature to be against God. It is not always easy. I know! That is why you have to consciously and conscientiously put God first at all times. This is also a way to beat yourself and your ego down- to know that God is in charge of your life. It is difficult at times but as you grow and get fill with the Word (by spending more time with God); it gets a bit easier.
Let us look at Joseph. When he was called by Pharaoh to interpret his (Pharaoh’s) dream, he quickly admitted that what he is about to do is not his might but God’s. By doing this, he subdued himself and God all the Honour. As Christians this is the example we must follow.
So now, with everything you do (regardless of how little or big it is), always remember to put God first. This is because a life without God is no life at all. IT IS FOR GOD’S GLORY THAT YOU ARE ALIVE AND KICKING, REMEMBER HIM ALWAYS- IN EVERYTHING YOU DO!
Here are few verses you can use in your study on putting God first/ giving God the glory: Matthew 10:38-39, Colossians 3:17, Romans 4:20, 2 Corinthians 4:6
Amen!

Dear Lord,
I come to you today as a sinner. I admit that I am a sinner. I believe that Jesus is your Son and He came on to this earth to die for my sins. Dear Lord, let your Son come and fill me. Lord, I ask that He cleanses me off my sins. I am ready to stand for you and profess your Name. Thank you, Lord. Amen.
Congratulations! You are a part of God’s family. Leave a message and let us have a conversation. God bless.
Have a wonderful day and let God inspire you!
