The 8 Principles for the 21st Century Christian (Part 4)

Topic: The 8 Principles for the 21st Century Christian (Part 4)

Bible Reading: Genesis 41

Good morning ladies and gentlemen! How are you all doing? How has your week been so far? Mine has been great by God’s Grace. Today, we are continuing our journey through “The 8 Principles for the 21st Century Christian.” We would be looking at the 5thPrinciple.

What are your thoughts so far? Are there any new things that you learnt? Though I spoke on this topic at the Sammie’s Daily Dose event, each day as I prepare the message, the Holy Spirit reveals new things from the message each time. It is awesome! I hope you are finding this journey, really fun and enjoyable? I am.

Well, getting on to today’s Principle! Are you ready…?

To help us with the analysis, I would advise that you spend a few minutes reading Genesis 41:21-40. These verses would give you a better understanding of the principle…

Done reading? Let’s go…

Principle 5: You are the right person for the job

It is important that every 21st Century Christian knows that they are the right person(s) for the job. God knows your strengths and your weaknesses. He put you in the position you are because you are the best person for it. You can handle it all. You have been doing it well so far!

In the same realm, God takes you through some tests (for the job) that he knows you can do. He does not give anything bigger than you can handle. He has instilled the right capabilities to go through the test (for that particular job).

At times, we think we know what is best for ourselves. This influences our decisions in everything we do. It affects the decision of what school to go to, what job to apply for, what company to begin, it even influences the type of church you go to! Have you ever considered asking God for His will to be done? Most of the time, we fix our minds on something and ask God to give it to us. This is not wrong! But have you asked God if it is in His will for your life? Living a life without God as the center is just a recipe for disaster.

Let us take Joseph’s life as an example. Do you think Joseph had ever dreamed of himself as Pharaoh’s second-in-command? No! He was the right person for the job! God prepared Him for it. This is because Joseph willingly accepted to follow God’s will for his life. He let God lead the way! In the end, he was one of the most powerful men in the world.

He was the right person to interpret the chief cupbearer's dream. He was the right person to interpret Pharaoh's dream (by God's Grace). Just like Joseph, no matter how young you are or small you are, you are the right person for the job. Know it and own it. Most importantly, look up to God at all times.

When you know that God is in control, you know that He would not let anything harm you. He has a particular Will (purpose) for your life because He knows you are the right person for the job. Now it is time for you to know it and own up to it. Do not be afraid! Do not let the enemy fill your mind with thoughts; to pull you down.

Other times, we are fixated on another person’s job (and blessing). We want the same thing. We change the course of our lives to follow that person. Please do not do this! The person has the right capabilities and capacities for the job s/he is in. You may not have the same. Your motivation should not be the power or the money! Trust me, when God is done with you; you will be amazed. Let your motivation be to live a Christ-like life. Everything else will come into to place.

You may be starting out or you may be in the preparation stages for the job. Just know that your current situation is not your permanent situation. Take Joseph’s life as an inspiration. When you get the job. You will be the best person to do it! Plus, the rewards would be greater than anything you would have imagined.

ALWAYS REMEMBER YOU ARE THE RIGHT PERSON FOR THE JOB. ALWAYS STAY IN GOD’S WILL FOR YOUR LIFE. YOU ARE NOT SMARTER THAN GOD; HE KNOWS WHAT YOU ARE MADE OF! THAT IS WHY HE SELECTED YOU FOR THAT JOB.

Here are a few verses to help in your study about being “the right person for the job”: 1 Peter 2:9, Acts 2:23, Acts 13:36

Amen!

God bless you all for spending some time to read this message. I hope and pray that you have been blessed by it. I pray that you have been convicted and reminded of your worth in Christ. Do share your thoughts and lesson with us and to the people around you. God richly bless you.

If you are reading this blog for the first time and you do not have Christ living in you, or you have the strong urge to come to Christ; kindly say this prayer wholeheartedly;

Dear Lord,

I come to you today as a sinner. I admit that I am a sinner. I believe that Jesus is your Son and He came on to this earth to die for my sins. Dear Lord, let your Son come and fill me. Lord, I ask that He cleanses me off my sins. I am ready to stand for you and profess your Name. Thank you, Lord. Amen.

Congratulations! You are a part of God’s family. Leave a message and let us have a conversation. God bless.

  • Have a wonderful day and let God inspire you!
