The Genesis Story (Part 135)- God's Favor puts the enemy to shame!

Topic: The Genesis Story (Part 135)- God’s Favour puts the enemy to shame!

Bible Reading: Genesis 42

Good morning ladies and gentlemen! How are you doing? I hope you had a wonderful weekend. Sammie’s Daily Dose is here once again. We would be exploring Genesis Chapter 42 this week. In today’s message, we would be highlighting a major effect of God’s Favor on one’s life- Belittling the enemy.

To start this message, let us look at the verse for the day! We would be concentrating on Genesis 42:8, which says:

So Joseph recognized his brothers, but they did not recognize him.

Ready to receive today’s message? Here we go…

Many times, when we are going through a trial or we are struggling, we tend to forget the end goal. We forget the end goal and the vision. We are worried about what others think of us and we spend a lot of our time fighting against evil/ bad people in our lives. We tend to forget about God’s plan for us; till our breakthrough comes.

In today’s message, we would not be looking at this. We would be look at the aftermath of God’s Favor. We would be using Joseph’s story to help us through it. One of the key things that happens when God Favor’s your life is “shame upon the enemy!” Yes! When God Glory is revealed the enemy is in shame.

Look at verse 8, when Joseph was governor, his brothers came to him to buy food. The Bible says that they did not recognize him. God will put you at a level higher than you or the enemy ever thought. He would place you at a place where the enemy can not recognize you. Why? Because the enemy could have and would have never thought of you in that position. The enemy may think he has succeeded in bringing you down! What he doesn't know is that; you are going to an even higher level!

Today’s message is a very straight and straight-forward one! This message is a reminder/ confirmation of God’s love and promise on someone’s life. Always remember:

Do not waste your time worrying about people or the enemy. Do not be provoked by them! Let them continue with their woes and actions. What God has in store you is great. God is taking you to a place where they would be shamed. They would not recognize you; then, they would know that you serve a living God; who watches over you! Amen!

Today, walk around with your head held up high. Continue to focus, trust and depend on God. Let the enemy do the best he can! My dear brother or sister, God’s got you. His Word never fails. The situation you find yourself is temporary. Rejoice! For victory is yours! Hallelujah!

I pray that God strengthens you and leads you! Yes, you may grow weary; I pray that God lifts you through it all. Amen!

The prayer below is for anyone who has given up on life and its challenges. God is here to pour His favor over your life. All you have to do is call out to Him. Make that decision today!

Dear Lord,

I come to you today as a sinner. I admit that I am a sinner. I believe that Jesus is your Son and He came on to this earth to die for my sins. Dear Lord, let your Son come and fill me. Lord, I ask that He cleanses me off my sins. I am ready to stand for you and profess your Name. Thank you, Lord. Amen.

If you repeated this prayer with all the sincerity of your heart, congratulations!! You are now a part of God’s family. Welcome to the greatest family ever. Heaven is jubilating on your arrival. Your fellow brothers and sisters are also excited to have you on board.

Being a child of God is a wonderful thing. The road might not always be easy, but God is with you each and every step of the way. Guiding you, helping you and encouraging up. You will never regret this decision; I can assure you of that. Two things I would recommend for you to do are;

  1. Get yourself a Bible (in a version you understand) and meditate on it day and night. In Joshua 1:8, we are told that when you meditate on the Word day and night, you will be prosperous and successful.

  2. Find a Bible- believing church to attend and fellowship with other Christians. This would help you grow spiritually.

I am excited that you made this decision. Welcome! If you would like some help or more understanding into anything, you can leave a message (adding your email address) and I would be willing and happy to help you out. Hallelujah!

  • Have a wonderful day and let God inspire you!

This is the end of the hundred and thirty- fifth Part of the Genesis Story. How did you find it? Please give us feedback on how this message (and previous messages) have spoken to you. Don’t forget to subscribe to get notifications once we post.

Always remember to show love to everyone, as this is one of the most important commandments God left for us – “Love your neighbor as yourself.” In every situation, before you take a decision, remember WWJD (What Would Jesus Do). Shalom.

Please spend some time praying for Sammie’s Daily Dose to continue to be the platform for the sharing of The Gospel. Amen.
