The Genesis Story: Part 160- The enemy will be put to shame!

Topic: The Genesis Story: Part 160- Your enemies will be put to shame!

Bible Reading: Genesis 50

Memory Verse: Genesis 50: 18

His brothers then came and threw themselves down before him. “We are your slaves,” they said.

Good morning ladies and gentlemen! How are you doing? I pray that your day is blessed and full of joy! How are you coping in this quarantine/ lockdown/ social distancing period? What are some of the activities you engage in? Share some of your experiences and lessons with us! We would love to know how you are doing during this period!

In today’s message, we would look at the ways in which our victory over the enemy is manifested! We would be exploring the theme: “Your enemies will be put to shame!” We pray that this message spreads some hope and comfort to you!

Are you ready to get right into the message? Let’s go!!

When we are faced with a battle against the enemy, it can be very intense! It may drain you physically, emotionally and sometimes, spiritually. In such situations, the best option sometimes seems to be losing hope; giving up! Don’t give up! Stay focused on God! He will continue to strengthen you and help you through the battle. There are many rewards/ blessings you get to enjoy once the battle is over!

God, sometimes, lets us go through these battles to train us and to prepare us! He wants you to nurture a particular side of you! He wants to hone a character trait inside of you! Have you realized that once you come out if a battle (against the enemy), there is a change in your attitude? Yes! This is because God uses that time to work on you as well. Keep on pressing on; God is making you stringer and better!

Today’s message is dedicated to anyone going through some sort of battle or test! Know that God is with you! You are a victor! The enemy planned it for evil, but God planned it for your good! Push on till the end; the enemy has lost the fight. In the end, you will be smiling and rejoicing. The enemy would be punished!

Let us look at Genesis 50, from verse 15, we see that Joseph’s brothers came back to him ashamed and full of regret! They were not pleased by their actions! They offered themselves as slaves, to work in Joseph’s household. My dear brother or sister in Christ, no matter how long and weary the battle is; keep pressing on! In the end, the enemy will present himself ashamed and begging for your forgiveness. The enemy would exposed himself! And even sacrifice himself for you! Do not focus on your situation now! Keep your set to the end goal! Be filled with hope today! The victory is yours!

The enemy’s plans have never prevailed, and it will not begin with your life! Continue your Faith journey; the tables are about to turn! The enemy is about to reap some awful things. Do not worry about what the public says or what your family say! In the end, the truth comes out! The enemy will be ashamed and be exposed; you will be favored and honored.

So be strong! Be encouraged! Be uplifted! Your victory is here! The enemy would be put to shame and God’s Word would continue to reign! Hallelujah! Have a wonderful day! Embrace all that God has given to you! He is making you stronger and better! God bless!

IMPORTANT NOTE!!!

The prayer below is for anyone who does not know God or maybe has been apart from God for a while. God is here to pour His favor over your life. All you have to do is call out to Him. Make that decision today!

Dear Lord,

I come to you today as a sinner. I admit that I am a sinner. I believe that Jesus is your Son and He came on to this earth to die for my sins. Dear Lord, let your Son come and fill me. Lord, I ask that He cleanses me off my sins. I am ready to stand for you and profess your Name. Thank you, Lord. Amen.

If you repeated this prayer with all the sincerity of your heart, congratulations!! You are now a part of God’s family. Welcome to the greatest family ever. Heaven is jubilating on your arrival. Your fellow brothers and sisters are also excited to have you on board.

Being a child of God is a wonderful thing. The road might not always be easy, but God is with you each and every step of the way. Guiding you, helping you and encouraging up. You will never regret this decision; I can assure you of that. Two things I would recommend for you to do are;

  1. Get yourself a Bible (in a version you understand) and meditate on it day and night. In Joshua 1:8, we are told that when you meditate on the Word day and night, you will be prosperous and successful.

  2. Find a Bible- believing church to attend and fellowship with other Christians. This would help you grow spiritually.

I am excited that you made this decision. Welcome! If you would like some help or more understanding into anything, you can leave a message (adding your email address) and I would be willing and happy to help you out!
