Daniel's Dose: Adventure 3- Why worry when you are in God's hands?

Topic: Daniel's Dose: Adventure 3: Why worry when you are in God’s hands?

Bible Reading: Daniel 1

Memory Verse: Daniel 1: 9

Now God had brought Daniel into the favor and goodwill of the chief of the eunuchs.

Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen! Hope you are good! I pray that your day started on a positive note. Today, we continue with Daniel’s Dose looking at Favor. God favors you; once you take action to stand for Him. Hallelujah! Are you ready for today’s message? Let us get right into it!

Many people are very scared and unsure of what to do when they follow God’s instructions! They worry about how they will go through it! They worry about what people will say! They worry about the outcome and impact of it! You shouldn’t go through all this! As children of God, we are supposed to keep firm in God. He is with you 24/7; why worry- especially when you are being obedient to Him?

Loosing hope and faith in God through an assignment equals disobedience. It is the same as you rejecting God’s Word or instruction. That is why it is important to make a final decision when you are serving God! You are in it whole-ly or not! You cannot be lukewarm. Being lukewarm can cause a lot of harm. Making the decision to fully serve God means taking away all the negative emotions that we feel. Those are not from God! Sadness, worry, anxiety, etc. are not from God. They have no place in your life, as a child of God! Most importantly, your thoughts are renewed when you give your life to Christ. All the sin in this world are fueled by our thoughts. To go against God, you would first have to think about it!

Today, I urge you to trust in God! Commit your life to Him. Do not worry about the things of the world. your life is sorted out; as long as you have Christ in you! Take up a Christ-like life with confidence and honor. Go out and live your life; like the Word tells us to. God has got you covered. He will not let you go through something that the plan is not concrete. In fact, God said in Jeremiah 1:5, “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; Before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations.” God knows more about you than you know yourself. God has protected you and set you in a course- life- with a purpose and a goal. Why worry? He has opened doors for you! He favors your every move and every step; if (the importance word here is “if”) you follow his ways and his commandments.

From yesterday’s message, we saw that Daniel and his friends refused to eat at the king’s table. Daniel was sensitive to his environment and made the decision to do what was right- live a life full of God. This led him to approach the chief eunuch; informing him that he (Daniel) will no longer eat from the king’s table. From today’s verse, we see that after Daniel approached the eunuch, God brought Daniel into the favor and goodwill of the chief eunuch. This is a great example of God’s love for us. This confirms Gods word to saying that He is with us always. Why Worry? Once you are following His will, just concentrate on it and leave everything else to God. He has favored you. Everywhere you go is favored. Everyone you speak to is favored. Hallelujah! All you have to do on your part is to accept Him into your life, spend time building your relationship and be obedient.

I know it is difficult to cast all your worries onto God. It is natural for us, as humans, to panic when we do not clearly see the end, or we do not know our next steps in life. I pray that God equips you to be more like Christ and less, like the world. For, it is only through this that we can be selfless.

This afternoon/ evening, as you close from work and head home; remember that God has got you. You are favored! You are honored! You are blessed! To enjoy all this, you must sacrifice for time and your worldly pleasures for God! Amen!

Prayer points:

  1. Pray for strength.

  2. Pray for God’s help to subdue your flesh and worldly pleasures.

  3. Pray to always stay close to God and not depart from Him.

  4. Pray for the infilling of the Holy Spirit to be your guide and help.

  5. Pray to be focused on God and Him alone.

  6. End by just worshipping and praising Him.

Today’s prayer:

Dear Lord,

I thank you for my life. I thank you for taking me through the night. I am glad that I am your child. I ask that you guide me and protect me in my every endeavor. I pray for strength in my all the activities I plan on taking today. I pray that I will choose you in every situation that I face. And that my life will be a testimony and an example to many that I have Christ living in me. Thank you, Lord, for sending your son to die on the cross and wipe my sins away. I lift your name high for you are Alpha and Omega. Amen!

My dear brother or sister in Christ, once you are in Christ, why worry? You have been sorted! God have poured favor over your life. Stand firm and embrace it! God richly bless you and continue to keep safe!

IMPORTANT NOTE!!!

The prayer below is for anyone who does not know God or maybe has been apart from God for a while. God is here to pour His favor over your life. All you have to do is call out to Him. Make that decision today!

Dear Lord,

I come to you today as a sinner. I admit that I am a sinner. I believe that Jesus is your Son and He came on to this earth to die for my sins. Dear Lord, let your Son come and fill me. Lord, I ask that He cleanses me off my sins. I am ready to stand for you and profess your Name. Thank you, Lord. Amen.

If you repeated this prayer with all the sincerity of your heart, congratulations!! You are now a part of God’s family.  Welcome to the greatest family ever. Heaven is jubilating on your arrival. Your fellow brothers and sisters are also excited to have you on board.

Being a child of God is a wonderful thing. The road might not always be easy, but God is with you each and every step of the way. Guiding you, helping you and encouraging up. You will never regret this decision; I can assure you of that. Two things I would recommend for you to do are;

  1. Get yourself a Bible (in a version you understand) and meditate on it day and night. In Joshua 1:8, we are told that when you meditate on the Word day and night, you will be prosperous and successful.

  2. Find a Bible- believing church to attend and fellowship with other Christians. This would help you grow spiritually.

I am excited that you made this decision. Welcome! If you would like some help or more understanding into anything, you can leave a message (adding your email address) and I would be willing and happy to help you out!
