What are some of the lessons you have learnt in this series so far? Do share some of your thoughts and the lessons you have learnt with us! We are happy to hear from you and interact with you. Most importantly, we would like to thank each and every one of you! To everyone who is reading this message or has been following this series, God richly bless you! I pray that you continue to be blessed by the messages posted on Sammie’s Daily Dose.
Today, we are going to look at “Blessing the name of God!” When must we bless the name of God? True, the answer is all the time! We are looking at this topic as a continuation of yesterday’s message! We must bless the name of God, immediately, after “the secrets” have been revealed to you! Are you ready for the message? I know that I am!
I will like to encourage you (if you haven’t) to kindly read yesterday’s message! You will be blessed!
Let us get right into the message!
Most of the time, the first thing we do when God reveals the secret to us; we act! [From yesterday’s message, we learnt that the secrets God reveals are the solutions to the issues/ problems/ situations that the enemy brings our way or, the strategies to finding the appropriate solution for the problem/ situation/ issue.] Well, do not get me wrong; acting on God’s Word is important. We must act on His Word to get the result we want. However, when we act immediately after receiving the secrets, we are going ahead and jumping a major step- Blessing the name of God!
We are always ready to say we acknowledge God in everything we do! But do we? We are always in a hurry to act; do we act for the right reasons? As humans, we are in a hurry to act, to prove to everyone who we are and what we have. We forget about God at the most crucial times, then, when we tumble, we run back to Him. That is not the way it works! No! We need to bless God and acknowledge him every time, every step of the way. We should not Pray, Act, then, Bless God. We must Pray, Bless God, Act, Bless God! By doing this, you are acknowledging that all that you do is not by YOUR might but by God’s WILL. As human aw we are, we can easily feel like all we have and all we are; are by our own efforts.
From Daniel 2:19b, we see that immediately God revealed the dream to Daniel, he blessed God. Verses 20 to 23 give us the details of what went into his prayer. We see that the first thing Daniel did was to bless the name of God. Then, he went on shower praises and acknowledge God’s wisdom, power and might. Daniel ended the prayer in verse 23, by thanking God for revealing the secrets to him. Daniel acknowledged that it was not his personal strength or might. It was by God’s Grace.
Today, just like Daniel, I encourage you to bless the name of God. Do not be quick to act. Just like Daniel, pray to God; admitting to Him that He (God) is in control. Pray to subdue your heart’s will to take the glory. Pray and bless God because you have to acknowledge him all the time! Through the good times and the bad times. It should come as a second nature. By default, after every step, you must bless the name of God. Hallelujah!
Prayer points:
Pray for a strength.
Pray that God helps you to subdue your flesh.
Pray that you are able to set your eyes on Him.
Pray to God to help you acknowledge his presence in your life; during the good times and the bad times.
Pray to always call on Him (first) through every situation.
End by just worshipping and praising Him.
Today’s prayer:
Dear Lord,
I thank you for my life. I thank you for taking me through the day. I ask that you guide me and protect me. I pray that I will choose you in every situation that I face. And that my life will be a testimony and an example to many that I have Christ living in me. Thank you, Lord, for sending your son to die on the cross and wipe my sins away. I lift your name high for you are Alpha and Omega. Amen!
My dear brother and sister in Christ, the next thing you must do is Bless the name of God! Bless the name of God now- during this difficult time, Bless His Name! Bless the name of God, as things start looking good for you! Bless the name of God, as you stand firm in Faith; waiting for your secrets to be revealed. Bless the name of God; as you await your victory. Bless the name of God always! Hallelujah! God richly bless you.
IMPORTANT NOTE!!!
The prayer below is for anyone who does not know God or maybe has been apart from God for a while. God is here to pour His favor over your life. All you have to do is call out to Him. Make that decision today!
Dear Lord,
I come to you today as a sinner. I admit that I am a sinner. I believe that Jesus is your Son and He came on to this earth to die for my sins. Dear Lord, let your Son come and fill me. Lord, I ask that He cleanses me off my sins. I am ready to stand for you and profess your Name. Thank you, Lord. Amen.
If you repeated this prayer with all the sincerity of your heart, congratulations!! You are now a part of God’s family. Welcome to the greatest family ever. Heaven is jubilating on your arrival. Your fellow brothers and sisters are also excited to have you on board.
Being a child of God is a wonderful thing. The road might not always be easy, but God is with you each and every step of the way. Guiding you, helping you and encouraging up. You will never regret this decision; I can assure you of that. Two things I would recommend for you to do are;
Get yourself a Bible (in a version you understand) and meditate on it day and night. In Joshua 1:8, we are told that when you meditate on the Word day and night, you will be prosperous and successful.
Find a Bible- believing church to attend and fellowship with other Christians. This would help you grow spiritually.
I am excited that you made this decision. Welcome! If you would like some help or more understanding into anything, you can leave a message (adding your email address) and I would be willing and happy to help you out!
