Daniel's Dose: Adventure 10-Do you serve God without a doubt?

Topic: Daniel’s Dose: Adventure 10- Do you serve God without a doubt?

Bible Reading: Daniel 3

Memory Verse: Daniel 3:12 (NKJV)

There are certain Jews whom you have set over the affairs of the province of Babylon: Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego; these men, O king, have not paid due regard to you. They do not serve your gods or worship the gold image which you have set up.”

Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen! How are you doing? How has the day been? I pray that your day has been full of joy, peace and laughter. This afternoon, we continue with our adventure through Daniel’s Dose.

I would like to use this opportunity to thank everyone who has been reading Sammie’s Daily Dose for a while now! God richly bless you for your continuous support! I pray that these messages speak to you, encourage you and equip you, in your Christian journey!

Today, we would be taking a look at Daniel 3:12, this is the same verse we looked at yesterday; however, we going to look at a totally different thing! Today, we would be exploring our relationship with God!

Let us get right into the message!

If you were put in the same situation as Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-Nigo, what would you have done? Would you have continued to serve God? Please be very truthful! If your answer is “yes”, congratulations! If your answer is “no”, do not worry God is giving you the opportunity to grow your relationship during this period.

There are many Christians who give up on their Faith when they have to go through persecution or suffer pain! Persecution doesn’t always mean death. Persecution can mean losing friends, family or people close to your heart. Persecution could mean losing your job, some money, status or power. If you were in a position whereby these things were at stake; would you still serve God?

There are many Christians who do not understand that once you call yourself a Christian, there are sacrifices you need to make. Why? This is because our flesh is very stubborn! Our will is always competing with God’s Will. We must understand that God’s Will is great and submit to him; then we can follow him regardless of what comes our way! The truth is, all the things that we think are more important than God (money, fame, power, family, etc.) are all owned and controlled by God! Are you willing to sacrifice them all for God?

In the case of Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-Nigo, they had no doubts about serving God. They boldly took a stand to worship and serve God; no matter the consequence! Can you say you do the same? Or better still, will you do the same when you are faced in such a situation? These are two very important questions you must answer!

The situation that these three Jewish men faced, occurs but not to every Christian! However, each day, we each go through circumstances or situation, where we have to make the decision to follow God’s ways! For example; do you sit down and just watch someone lie about another person (when you know the truth)? Do you insult that bus driver that wrongfully joined your lane? Do you follow the road signs mounted on the road? Do you report a classmate when you have caught them cheating in an exam? Do you report a corrupt colleague to your boss? All these are some of the many examples we face each day that put us in a “compromising” situation.

Reflect on your life! Are there certain times/ situations, you did not choose God? Have you been consistent in your service to God? Well, if you fall short, don’t worry! The Holy Spirit has brought this to our attention, to help us strength our Faith and have closer relationship with God. Like I mentioned above, you have to make the decision to subdue your flesh. Accept the fact that God’s Will is greater and the best option for you! Once you do that open your heart and your mind to receive God’s Word through Bible Study, Bible reading and Quiet time.

Prayer points:

  1. Pray for a strength.

  2. Pray that God helps you to subdue your flesh.

  3. Pray that you are able to set your eyes on Him.

  4. Pray that God helps you to build up your Faith.

  5. Pray, asking God to help you to serve Him always.

  6. End by just worshipping and praising Him.

Today’s prayer:

Dear Lord,

I thank you for my life. I thank you for giving me another beautiful day. I ask that you guide me and protect me. I pray that I will choose you in every situation that I face. And that my life will be a testimony and an example to many that I have Christ living in me. Thank you, Lord, for sending your son to die on the cross and wipe my sins away. I lift your name high for you are Alpha and Omega. Amen!

Today, take the time to reflect on your life and your relationship with God! Do you serve God without doubt? I pray that this message causes you to act and change your relationship status, as a Christian. God bless you!

IMPORTANT NOTE!!!

The prayer below is for anyone who does not know God or maybe has been apart from God for a while. God is here to pour His favor over your life. All you have to do is call out to Him. Make that decision today!

Dear Lord,

I come to you today as a sinner. I admit that I am a sinner. I believe that Jesus is your Son and He came on to this earth to die for my sins. Dear Lord, let your Son come and fill me. Lord, I ask that He cleanses me off my sins. I am ready to stand for you and profess your Name. Thank you, Lord. Amen.

If you repeated this prayer with all the sincerity of your heart, congratulations!! You are now a part of God’s family. Welcome to the greatest family ever. Heaven is jubilating on your arrival. Your fellow brothers and sisters are also excited to have you on board.

Being a child of God is a wonderful thing. The road might not always be easy, but God is with you each and every step of the way. Guiding you, helping you and encouraging up. You will never regret this decision; I can assure you of that. Two things I would recommend for you to do are;

  1. Get yourself a Bible (in a version you understand) and meditate on it day and night. In Joshua 1:8, we are told that when you meditate on the Word day and night, you will be prosperous and successful.

  2. Find a Bible- believing church to attend and fellowship with other Christians. This would help you grow spiritually.

I am excited that you made this decision. Welcome! If you would like some help or more understanding into anything, you can leave a message (adding your email address) and I would be willing and happy to help you out!
