Happy New month to everyone! We have made it the middle of the year, by God’s Grace! I pray that God continues to guide us and protect us, through the next half of the year and beyond. Hallelujah! Like I mentioned in Friday’s post, June is the month of PRAISE. I pray that this month, you will be praised. Your enemies would praise you for the awesome things you have done and continue to do; by God’s Grace. Hallelujah! The time to wipe the tears off your face is now! Your reward is coming! Amen.
In today’s adventure, we are exploring how we are distinguished from others because we re children of God; we have an excellent spirit living in us! Are you ready to discover more under this theme? Well, I am! Let us get right into it!
A lot of the times, people worry about the mark they are going to leave at their workplace or school or family or the world, as a whole. They put in a lot of time, effort and money to develop themselves you have certain skills and abilities. All in the hopes of using these skills and abilities would help them to stand out. What many people fail to realize is that it is your character that makes a mark.
As Christians, we have Christ living in us! We, also have the Holy Spirit living in us! We do not have to worry about leaving a mark! Why? That is because once you have Christ and the Holy Spirit living within you, your character is Christ-like. It is the qualifications/ skills/ qualities that opens the doors. But, It is your character that maintains, elevates and leaves a mark in people’s minds and hearts.
When we invite the Holy Spirit, He works on our character! He provides fruits that nurture and develop our character. Regardless of the situation you are in, this “new” character show and leaves a mark! As a Christian, by the way you speak, the choices you make, the way you carry yourself; sets you apart from others. You will be distinguished from your peers, colleagues, even your bosses. Everyone would see Christ in you! It is because of the excellent spirit that lives in you!
Today, as you prepare for work, prepare to go about your day; know that you are favored! Know that you stand out! Know that you are the best of the best because an excellent spirit lives in you! Be confident! Have God’s word in your heart and your mind! Be careful to follow what God’s Word says; let it transform you and watch how you make a difference in your field! You are distinguished! You are special! Believe it and live it!
From Daniel 6, we are told that Daniel was appointed one of the three governors of the kingdom. All the satraps reported to him. According to the Word in Daniel 6:3, we are told that “… Daniel distinguished himself above the governors and satraps, because an excellent spirit was in him…” This goes to show that once you are in Christ and you have the Spirit within you; you will stand out. It does matter you position! Your character will set you apart from everyone else. You have you dedicate yourself to God, fully. Like Daniel did. He lived his life for God. He lived his life obeying God and following God’s instructions in his Word. That is the way! Once you do, you realize that it is just natural to stand out. Why? Well, there is something pure and bright radiating from within you! Everyone would want to be a part of it!
As you are on your way to work, reassure yourself of who you are in Christ! Be in confident in yourself and who you are; by saying your affirmations out loud. Believe that you are special because you are a child of God and you have an excellent spirit living in you. Kindly repeat these words, “I, (insert name here) have distinguished myself above all my colleagues/ peers/ classmates/ etc., because I have an excellent Spirit living in me!”
Prayer Points:
Ask God to prepare your heart.
Ask for healing in your heart and your mind.
Ask that God transforms your heart and your mind, through His Word.
Ask for the infilling of the Holy Spirit.
Ask for strength to continue to focus on God.
Ask for the desire to learn more about God.
End with a time of praise and worship!
Today’s prayer:
Dear Lord,
I thank you for my life. I thank you for giving me another beautiful day. I ask that you guide me and protect me. I pray that I will choose you in every situation that I face. And that my life will be a testimony and an example to many that I have Christ living in me. Thank you, Lord, for sending your son to die on the cross and wipe my sins away. I lift your name high for you are Alpha and Omega. Amen!
Go out there and shine like you are meant to! Go out and make the difference! Go out and be the difference! Always remember that as a child of God, you are distinguished from others because you have an excellent spirit living in you!

Dear Lord,
I come to you today as a sinner. I admit that I am a sinner. I believe that Jesus is your Son and He came on to this earth to die for my sins. Dear Lord, let your Son come and fill me. Lord, I ask that He cleanses me off my sins. I am ready to stand for you and profess your Name. Thank you, Lord. Amen.
If you repeated this prayer with all the sincerity of your heart, congratulations!! You are now a part of God’s family. Welcome to the greatest family ever. Heaven is jubilating on your arrival. Your fellow brothers and sisters are also excited to have you on board.
Being a child of God is a wonderful thing. The road might not always be easy, but God is with you each and every step of the way. Guiding you, helping you and encouraging up. You will never regret this decision; I can assure you of that. Two things I would recommend for you to do are;
Get yourself a Bible (in a version you understand) and meditate on it day and night. In Joshua 1:8, we are told that when you meditate on the Word day and night, you will be prosperous and successful.
Find a Bible- believing church to attend and fellowship with other Christians. This would help you grow spiritually.
