Topic: Daniel’s Dose- Adventure 23: As a child of God, the enemy will set traps…

Bible Reading: Daniel 6

Memory Verse: Daniel 6:5 (NKJV)

Then these men said, “We shall not find any charge against this Daniel unless we find it against him concerning the law of his God.”

Good morning ladies and gentlemen! How are you doing? How has your morning been? I hope you are having a wonderful day so far! Today, we are continuing our adventure through Daniel’s Dose. We would be looking at the enemy’s plans to destroy God’s children. Do you know that the enemy sets out to steal, kill and destroy? Well, let us read what the Holy Spirit has in-store for us today!

Do you know the enemy’s agenda? Are surprised by the tricks and moves, he makes? Well, what were your answers? If you know that the enemy’s agenda is to kill, steal and destroy; children of God, you are on the right track! If you are not surprised by his tricks and moves, then, you are prepared. The most important question is that, “Are you ready and prepared for the enemy?” If your answer is “no”, I would like to urge you to spend some time reading the Word- the Bible. It has all the things you need to know about the enemy and our constant battle with Him. Thankfully, Christ came to die on the cross for you. You are a conqueror. God has equipped you to win all those battles. Amen!

As a Christian, the enemy tries to set traps based on the things that matters to you (or your heart) the most! For some people, it may be their ministry; for others, it may be their Spiritual gifts; some, it may be their relationship with God! If the devil wanted something to use against you, what will it be? If these things are worldly things, I would like to urge you to transform and renew your heart in the Lord; through His Word. The enemy is the king of all worldly things. Going against him in his field is very dangerous!

If you are like Daniel, and your heart is full of God; the only trap the enemy can set against you, concerns your Faith in God. In Daniel 6, we see that Daniel’s colleagues were plotting against him. From previously messages we have established that they were jealous of him. They did not like the fact that he (Daniel) was doing better than them. They sought to find anything that would bring him down. They found nothing, so, they resulted to use the one this he cherishes dearly- God.

My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, this is what the enemy does. He tries every single scenario you can think of (or cannot think of) to ensure that you join his evil camp. The enemy may try to put you in situations whereby you will question your faith. He may try to put you in difficult situations that seem to have no possible end. Be assured that God will take you through. The devil is a liar. He would take you through situations that “seem” a certain way. However, it is not! The enemy can never win a battle unless you allow him to!

The reason for which our battles against the enemy, are very difficult is the fact that our body/ flesh is being stretched. Your body will begin to uneasy and uncomfortable. Always remember that you are not you body. You are stronger, bigger and wiser than your body. You have to know that, so the enemy does not use it against you! Most importantly, you have God with you! He is by your side through it all! He, literally goes through every situation with you! He continues to pour His Grace and Mercy over the lives of His children!

Just as the enemy thinks he can use your Faith as a trap; use your Faith to win the battle. The enemy under-estimates the power that you have! Prove to him that you are the child of a Mighty God. Hallelujah!

Prayer Points:

  1. Ask God to prepare your heart.

  2. Ask for healing in your heart and your mind.

  3. Ask that you subdue your flesh and earthly desires.

  4. Ask God to help you grow your Faith through the Word.

  5. Ask God to help you understand and know your worth as His child.

  6. Ask for the desire to learn more about God.

End with a time of praise and worship!

Today’s prayer:

Dear Lord,

I thank you for my life. I thank you for giving me another beautiful day. I ask that you guide me and protect me. I pray that I will choose you in every situation that I face. And that my life will be a testimony and an example to many that I have Christ living in me. Thank you, Lord, for sending your son to die on the cross and wipe my sins away. I lift your name high for you are Alpha and Omega. Amen!

As we come to the end of today’s message, I would like you to complete this statement. As a child of God, the enemy will set traps, but…How would you complete this statement? Let us know! Once you do, make it a part of your daily confessions! Let it speak to your heart and your mind. You will see the confidence you will gain. God bless you! Always remember that God loves you and He is with you all the time! Have a wonderful rest of the day!

IMPORTANT NOTE!!!

The prayer below is for anyone who does not know God or maybe has been apart from God for a while. God is here to pour His favor over your life. All you have to do is call out to Him. Make that decision today!

Dear Lord,

I come to you today as a sinner. I admit that I am a sinner. I believe that Jesus is your Son and He came on to this earth to die for my sins. Dear Lord, let your Son come and fill me. Lord, I ask that He cleanses me off my sins. I am ready to stand for you and profess your Name. Thank you, Lord. Amen.

If you repeated this prayer with all the sincerity of your heart, congratulations!! You are now a part of God’s family. Welcome to the greatest family ever. Heaven is jubilating on your arrival. Your fellow brothers and sisters are also excited to have you on board.

Being a child of God is a wonderful thing. The road might not always be easy, but God is with you each and every step of the way. Guiding you, helping you and encouraging up. You will never regret this decision; I can assure you of that. Two things I would recommend for you to do are;

  1. Get yourself a Bible (in a version you understand) and meditate on it day and night. In Joshua 1:8, we are told that when you meditate on the Word day and night, you will be prosperous and successful.

  2. Find a Bible- believing church to attend and fellowship with other Christians. This would help you grow spiritually.

I am excited that you made this decision. Welcome! If you would like some help or more understanding into anything, you can leave a message (adding your email address) and I would be willing and happy to help you out!
