Topic: Daniel’s Dose: Adventure 26- What is the depth of our relationship with God?
Bible Reading: Daniel 8
Memory Verse(s): Daniel 8:27b (NKJV)
I was astonished by the vision, but no one understood it.
Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen! How are you doing? How has your morning been? I hope you are having a wonderful day! How was your weekend? What were you up to this weekend? Did you spend time with family and friends? Did you try something new? Did you spend some time reading/ studying the Word? Let us know of a few of the amazing things you have been up to! We would love to hear from you!
In about two weeks, Sammie’s Daily Dose will be two! Yes! We have been on this journey for two years now! There have been a lot of ups and downs; you have been there through it all! I would like to say, “Thank you,” to everyone! Thank you for reading the messages each day! Thank you for all the encouragement! Thank you for the shares and the likes! God richly bless you! Watch out! We have something exciting coming to you on our birthday! Can you guess what it is? Let us know what you think it is!
Today, we continue our wonderful adventure through Daniel’s Dose! We will be looking at the depth of our relationship with God! Are you ready for what the Holy Spirit has in-store for you today? Let us get to it!
Have you heard the phrase, “God’s love knows no bounds!” This applies to our relationship with God! Our relationship with God doesn’t have a finish- line! As your relationship with God grows, it gets deeper and deeper, spiritually. God begins to reveal very “deep” things to you- the human mind or body can not comprehend it! However, to get there is a journey! You must be very committed, dedicated and focused! He must set your eyes on God and remain focused on Him through everything!
Take a few moments of your time, to think about the “most spiritual” person you know! Think about the person you know sets an example to many; in terms of their Christian life! That person or those people, are at a certain level in their relationship with God! However, that’s not all. They can have an even stronger/ deeper relationship with God! They have to continue to fuel that burning passion or desire for God! I have heard many people’s Christian goals! They want to have a strong and deep relationship with God like “….” Yes, it is good to want a deeper and stronger relationship with God! Do not limit yourself because the relationship you are in is limitless and timeless!
Look at Daniel! For the past few weeks, we have seen how Daniel has been faithful to God! We have seen Daniel’s burning desire to know God! We have seen how obedient Daniel has been! We have seen Daniel’s relationship with God grow stronger. We have seen how intense his encounters with God have been!
In the Bible Reading for the week, we see Daniel has another vision. This time it is more intense than before! God revealed to Daniel things that will happen, many years to come! That vision left Daniel sick for a few days and shocked. The Bible says, “no one understood it.” As you get closer and deeper with God, the things you would experience, is what we would describe an extraordinary! Many people would not understand it! They may think you are crazy! Yes, in fact, you are crazy- you are crazy for God! This craziness would lead you experience many spiritual things! You will see visions, experience the Holy Spirit in the spirit realms, you will have an audience with Christ, etc.
The thing to note is that you determine the depth of your relationship with God. God is ready and open! He has stretched His arms out wide! You have to have the burning desire and make the necessary sacrifices to be full of Him! Don’t limit God! Don’t also limit yourself! Yes! The thought of such a deep relationship may be scary! It may have you nervous or anxious! Just know that it is the most beautiful relationship and experience one can ever have! It may sound scary, far-fetched or even dangerous; it is not! Once in you in God’s presence; once you have God’s attention, you do not want to come out of it!
Today, we have learnt that there are bounds or limits to the relationship we have with God! We must always strive to know Him more! We must strive to build a deeper and stronger relationship with Him; always! To do that, we must not limit ourselves or limit God! Have a goal to grow deeper and stronger in God; each year! Treasure your relationship with God! Seek God always! Put Him first in everything you do! Think about the depth of your relationship with God at the moment! Are you ready for a deeper relationship? Are you prepared for the next level?
You do not need to be ready today! Prepare your heart for it! It is not a marathon! We do not want to see who gets there first! We want to see if you are able to achieve all that God has set out for you! Believe in yourself! Ask the Holy Spirit for help! God is waiting to have an awesome relationship with you! God bless you!
Prayer Points:
Ask God to prepare your heart.
Ask the Holy Spirit to help you to have a open and pure heart.
Ask for the desire to learn more about God.
Ask for the ability to listen and identify God’s voice.
Ask for the Holy Spirit to help you to have a better relationship with God.
End with a time of praise and worship!
Today’s prayer:
Dear Lord,
I thank you for my life. I thank you for giving me another beautiful day. I ask that you guide me and protect me. I pray that I will choose you in every situation that I face. And that my life will be a testimony and an example to many that I have Christ living in me. Thank you, Lord, for sending your son to die on the cross and wipe my sins away. I lift your name high for you are Alpha and Omega. Amen!
IMPORTANT NOTE!!!
The prayer below is for anyone who does not know God or maybe has been apart from God for a while. God is here to pour His favor over your life. All you have to do is call out to Him. Make that decision today!
Dear Lord,
I come to you today as a sinner. I admit that I am a sinner. I believe that Jesus is your Son and He came on to this earth to die for my sins. Dear Lord, let your Son come and fill me. Lord, I ask that He cleanses me off my sins. I am ready to stand for you and profess your Name. Thank you, Lord. Amen.
If you repeated this prayer with all the sincerity of your heart, congratulations!! You are now a part of God’s family. Welcome to the greatest family ever. Heaven is jubilating on your arrival. Your fellow brothers and sisters are also excited to have you on board.
Being a child of God is a wonderful thing. The road might not always be easy, but God is with you each and every step of the way. Guiding you, helping you and encouraging up. You will never regret this decision; I can assure you of that. Two things I would recommend for you to do are;
Get yourself a Bible (in a version you understand) and meditate on it day and night. In Joshua 1:8, we are told that when you meditate on the Word day and night, you will be prosperous and successful.
Find a Bible- believing church to attend and fellowship with other Christians. This would help you grow spiritually.
I am excited that you made this decision. Welcome! If you would like some help or more understanding into anything, you can leave a message (adding your email address) and I would be willing and happy to help you out!
