Topic: Daniel’s Dose: Adventure 28- How do your experiences with God make you feel?

Bible Reading: Daniel 8

Memory Verse: Daniel 8:27b (NKJV)

I was astonished by the vision, but no one understood it.

Good evening ladies and gentlemen! How have you been? How has your day been? I hope your day has been full of joy and laughter. Today, we are continuing our adventures through Daniel’s Dose. Before we get into today’s message, I would like to remind you of “Time At His Feet” – Sammie Daily Dose’s second event! Have you registered for it? If you haven’t, what are you waiting for? Today, we are looking at our experiences with God, and how they make us feel. We would be making reference to Daniel’s story; throughout this message. Are you ready to embark on another exciting journey this evening? I know that you are! I am, also! Well, on this note, let us get right into today’s message!

Throughout your journey with God, how would you describe Him? How would you describe your experiences throughout the journey? With these two questions, we could have a variety of answers from Christians! Everyone’s answer would be based on their intimacy with God. This is dependent on the amount of time and effort you spend at God’s feet; getting to know Him better and better!

As you mature in your relationship with God, God reveals many things to us. This is because He “trusts” that we can handle and understand all that He shows/ tells us! Daniel had a deep relationship with God! God revealed things to Daniel through visions; like we see in Daniel 8. Like Daniel, many mature Christians are left astonished, dumbfounded; after an experience with God! Why? They are able to see, understand and appreciate their relationship God! Most of the time, God reveals what will happen to the world in the future. Some people get angry or agitated because of the severity of things (in the future), as an unbeliever.

For many who are starting their journey/ relationship with God, their experiences are great. You will commonly hear then describe their relationship with God as amazing. Don't get me wrong, God is amazing. However, "mature" Christians are moved because they experience deeper things with God.

The wonderful thing is that, we all have the opportunity to have a deep and strong relationship with God. We can also get to be moved physically and spiritually by our encounters with God. How? Well, you have to spend time to build your relationship. Just like any other relationship, you must work hard at it!

Take a few minutes to think about it! Are you ready to move to the next level with God? Do not be pressured to do when you are not! This is not a race! Its a marathon! God is not concerned about how fast you get to the finish line. He is concerned about how well you finish!

If you made the decision to get closer to God, you must take it up seriously. You must trust in Him always. You must do well to listen to Him and obey His words. The journey you are going to embark on, may have ups and downs. Always know that God is with you and He is in control. Enjoy yourself; it is a beautiful journey to embark on! God bless!

Prayer Points:

  1. Ask God to reveal Himself to you.

  2. Ask God to prepare your heart.

  3. Ask for healing in your heart and your mind.

  4. Ask that you subdue your flesh and earthly desires.

  5. Ask for the infilling of the Holy Spirit.

  6. Ask for help from the Holy Spirit.

  7. Ask for the desire to learn more about God.

End with a time of praise and worship!

Today’s prayer:

Dear Lord,

I thank you for my life. I thank you for giving me another beautiful day. I ask that you guide me and protect me. I pray that I will choose you in every situation that I face. And that my life will be a testimony and an example to many that I have Christ living in me. Thank you, Lord, for sending your son to die on the cross and wipe my sins away. I lift your name high for you are Alpha and Omega. Amen!

IMPORTANT NOTE!!!

The prayer below is for anyone who does not know God or maybe has been apart from God for a while. God is here to pour His favor over your life. All you have to do is call out to Him. Make that decision today!

Dear Lord,

I come to you today as a sinner. I admit that I am a sinner. I believe that Jesus is your Son and He came on to this earth to die for my sins. Dear Lord, let your Son come and fill me. Lord, I ask that He cleanses me off my sins. I am ready to stand for you and profess your Name. Thank you, Lord. Amen.

If you repeated this prayer with all the sincerity of your heart, congratulations!! You are now a part of God’s family.  Welcome to the greatest family ever. Heaven is jubilating on your arrival. Your fellow brothers and sisters are also excited to have you on board.

Being a child of God is a wonderful thing. The road might not always be easy, but God is with you each and every step of the way. Guiding you, helping you and encouraging up. You will never regret this decision; I can assure you of that. Two things I would recommend for you to do are;

  1. Get yourself a Bible (in a version you understand) and meditate on it day and night. In Joshua 1:8, we are told that when you meditate on the Word day and night, you will be prosperous and successful.

  2. Find a Bible- believing church to attend and fellowship with other Christians. This would help you grow spiritually.

I am excited that you made this decision. Welcome! If you would like some help or more understanding into anything, you can leave a message (adding your email address) and I would be willing and happy to help you out!
