Topic: 5 steps to command 2021- Part 1 (Review)
Good evening ladies and gentlemen! How are you doing? It has been a while since you last heard from us! Yes! Today, we are back, delivering an important message from the Holy Spirit!
2020 is finally coming to an end! At the beginning of the year, we all could not wait for 2020 to end. This year has been characterized with a global pandemic, loss, pain, anguish, weary hearts, and many other negative things! This year will be recorded in history’s books, as one of the toughest years! 2021 is in a few days and there is a lot to be thankful for/ of. God has given you life and protected you through 2020’s ups and down!
This week, we are looking at the 5 steps we need to take; to help us command the New Year (2021). It is true that we do not know what 2021 holds! Yes, we do not know what would happen economically, financially, medically, etc. in the coming year! But we know one thing! We know that we serve a Living God, who is fighting our battles (on our behalf). As Christians, we must pray into the year and commit it to God! He is our only consistent helper in this fragile, shaky earth! All we can do, is to put our trust in God!
As we prepare for the coming year, the first thing we must do is to REVIEW the year! It is very important to take a step back and remember all that has happen in the year 2020. With that you will get to appreciate all that God has done for your life! As you review the year, you must write it all down! This is the first step to commanding your year!
To review the year, you must find a cool, calm place! You will need a notebook and a pen (not forgetting a comfortable chair or a desk and chair). First of all, say a prayer! The prayer must include;
1. committing the session to God’s care!
2. ask for the Holy Spirit guidance!
3. Ask for remembrance and peace of mind!
After the prayer, open to a fresh page in your notebook! On a fresh sheet write out the date on the right side of the sheet! Write the heading “2020 REVIEW” at the center of the first line. Leave a few lines after the heading, then divide the page into 2. The left column will represent the months of the year! The right column will represent the events, things, etc. that occurred in each month.
Take each month and review all the wonderful things God has done for you! Write out everything you can remember! Be very specific and detailed!
Tip: -
It may be difficult to remember events, habit, character traits, etc. in chronological order! You may start reviewing months that are special to you, for example, your birth month, your wedding anniversary month, etc. As all the major (and significant) things are put down on paper, reviewing other months becomes easier!
