Topic: Daniel’s Dose: Adventure 34- Un-Godly actions result in Un-Godly Consequences
Bible Reading: Daniel 11
Bible Verse(s): Daniel 11: 36-37; 45b (NKJV)
Good evening ladies and gentlemen! I hope your day has been good! How has your week been so far? Another weekend is coming our way; are you excited? I hope that this week has been fruitful, and you have learnt a thing or two from this week’s messages! If you have, let us have a discussion! Tomorrow, we have planned for a Q&A session! If you have any questions, suggestions and comments; hop on and let us chat! We would be excited to hear from you!
Today, we continue the Daniel’s Dose series with another Spirit- backed message, about actions and consequences. Today’s message is drawn from three verses in Daniel 11. Before you move on to the message, I would encourage you to read these verses- most preferably in the Bible version suggested; however, you can use a Bible Version that you are comfortable with). On that note…
Let us get right into today’s message!
Throughout life’s journey, we are always advised to pay particular attention to our actions. Why? Well, it is simply because our actions have consequences. We have the ability to live good or bad consequences; depending on our actions- if they are good or bad! Yes! There are cases whereby good actions result in bad consequences. However, this is an extreme case! Most of the time, good actions result in good consequences! Bad actions result in bad consequences!
The same principle runs in our spiritual life! Well, most of the guidelines, principles and rights are rooted in the spiritual. Spiritual, in this case, refers to our relationship with God! If we live our lives the right way- according to God’s will- we get to enjoy God’s favor and blessings upon our lives. When we live right, we are taking Godly actions! Everything we do or say, is influenced by our Heavenly Father. These Godly actions result in good consequences; these consequences are Godly consequences. These Godly consequences are mainly the fruits and rewards, we (Christians) get to enjoy. With that, we can draw the conclusion: Godly actions result in Godly consequences.
In the same vain, the opposite works holds as well! Un-Godly actions result in un-Godly consequences! When we live our lives the way we want, we do not follow God’s plan for our lives. Most of the time, this decision leads us to make some un-Godly decisions and un-Godly actions. This is because our flesh is sin-full. Everything we do that centers the flesh is sin-full. Sinfulness is not accepted by God. So, doing this out of your own might and strength (fueled by your human desires) is un-Godly. As mentioned earlier, un-Godly actions results in un-Godly consequences. We most of the time, do not end up with all that our flesh desired. We end up with things that are worse. Better still, we end up suffering badly for some of the actions that we have taken.
The Bible verse(s) highlighted for the day, is a clear example of “un-Godly actions results in un-Godly consequences.” In Daniel 11:36 and 37, the Bible recounts Daniel’s vision by saying that the king of the North began to “magnify himself.” He put himself God or any other thing in this world. In other words, he denied God. The Bible says, “… he shall speak blasphemies against the God of gods…” With such un-Godly actions, it is natural to assume that he king faced some un-Godly consequences. Daniel 11:45b tells us that the king “…shall come to his end, and no one will help him.” Leaving a life with no back from God (or anyone) is a very empty and unfulfilling life! This is a clear example of such a situation!
Today, I would like to encourage you to take some time off (like yesterday) to assess your life. Are you in- tune with God? Are you following His plans for your life? Are you assured of enjoying some Godly consequences for your actions? Well, after carefully thinking about your answers to these questions; go back to God! Re-present all your plans and actions to Him! Seek His face! Then, you can move on! As a Christian, it is important to know that God is backing you, one hundred percent!
It is not too late to go back to God! This message is a representation of His love! God always wants to give us the opportunity and the time to make the decision to come to Him! Accept His help and give Him some space in your life. God bless you!
Prayer Points:
1. Ask God to reveal Himself to you.
2. Ask God to prepare your heart.
3. Ask for strength.
4. Ask that God to equip you and help you through difficult times.
5. Ask for the infilling of the Holy Spirit.
6. Ask for help from the Holy Spirit.
7. Ask for the Holy Spirit to help you to listen and obey.
End with a time of praise and worship!
Today’s prayer:
Dear Lord,
I thank you for my life. I thank you for giving me another beautiful day. I ask that you guide me and protect me. I pray that I will choose you in every situation that I face. And that my life will be a testimony and an example to many that I have Christ living in me. Thank you, Lord, for sending your son to die on the cross and wipe my sins away. I lift your name high for you are Alpha and Omega. Amen!
IMPORTANT NOTE!!!
The prayer below is for anyone who does not know God or maybe has been apart from God for a while. God is here to pour His favor over your life. All you have to do is call out to Him. Make that decision today!
Dear Lord,
I come to you today as a sinner. I admit that I am a sinner. I believe that Jesus is your Son and He came on to this earth to die for my sins. Dear Lord, let your Son come and fill me. Lord, I ask that He cleanses me off my sins. I am ready to stand for you and profess your Name. Thank you, Lord. Amen.
If you repeated this prayer with all the sincerity of your heart, congratulations!! You are now a part of God’s family. Welcome to the greatest family ever. Heaven is jubilating on your arrival. Your fellow brothers and sisters are also excited to have you on board.
Being a child of God is a wonderful thing. The road might not always be easy, but God is with you each and every step of the way. Guiding you, helping you and encouraging up. You will never regret this decision; I can assure you of that. Two things I would recommend for you to do are;
1. Get yourself a Bible (in a version you understand) and meditate on it day and night. In Joshua 1:8, we are told that when you meditate on the Word day and night, you will be prosperous and successful.
2. Find a Bible- believing church to attend and fellowship with other Christians. This would help you grow spiritually.
I am excited that you made this decision. Welcome! If you would like some help or more understanding into anything, you can leave a message (adding your email address) and I would be willing and happy to help you out!
