Bible Reading: Esther 8

And in every province and city, wherever the king’s command and decree came, the Jews had joy and gladness, a feast and a holiday. Then many of the people of the land became Jews, because fear of the Jews fell upon them.

Good evening ladies and gentlemen! How are you doing? I hope and pray that you had a wonderful day (and a wonderful week so far). Today, we continue with our series- Esther’s Glory. Check out the “Sammie’s Scribes” page (on the menu tab) of the website. These giftboxes are available to you; no matter the part of the world you reside! With that aside, let us get into today’s message!

As Christians, we are encouraged to make the decision to live a Christ- like life. Why? Well, our lives are an example to all around the world of God! People can be changed and received salvation; just by the way you and I, live our lives. In one of SDD’s previous posts, the Holy Spirit teaches us that people may enter the kingdom of God through active evangelism and also by observing and imitating the livelihood of God’s children! Note I said, God’s children! Why? There are many people who parade around calling themselves Christians, however, they live a very care-free life! As a child of God, you must obey His Word (and His commandments) over your life!

Your testimony reflects your livelihood! You may wonder why this statement is very important! Well, if you are a Child of God, it shows when you are going through a battle! When the enemy continues to torture and harm you, you remain steadfast in God. This not saying that there are not times whereby you get anxious or weary. But you serve a living God who is guiding and guarding you to the end. You rely on Him solely for direction! HE re-fuels you and re-equips you for all your challenges! In the end, you become a victor!

On the other hand, if you are not a child of God, you give up easily and succumb to the enemy’s requests. When times get tough, it is highly likely that these people turn to their physical strength to help them through- scheming and devising plans to get their victory! This is not the way!

In Esther 8, we see that the Jews were victorious with the help of Esther and Mordecai. In verse 17 (our memory verse for the day), we see that the Jews’ victory caused fear amongst the people. Why? The recognized that the God that the Jews serve is a Mighty one! They wanted to serve a God like the Jews. A God who is the ever-present help in times of need! The God who preserved and protected all the Jews! This is the God that the people wanted to serve! So they became Jews! In the sense that, they became children of God! They recognize God’s power and glory and they decided to follow Him.

As children of God, this is what our testimony holds! When we win the battle, God Glory and mighty Power manifests for all to see! You do not need to convince people. People all around the world can see God’s power manifest through your life (and your situation). Hallelujah! As you are going through that battle, remember that your struggle is not in vain! Remember that the kingdom of God is reliant on your victory! The lost sheep/ unsaved souls are reliant on your victory!

My brother/ sister in Christ, press on! Press on in the Lord! He is Faithful and loving- He is with you to the very end! Your life is for the kingdom! Focus on God! You are a victor! Victory is so close- the enemy is soon going to regret challenging you! In everything you do, always remember that your life (as a child of God) is not your own! Continue to cover yourself in the blood of Christ and keep on living a Christ-like life! God richly bless you all!

Today’s prayer:

Dear Lord,

I thank you for my life. I thank you for giving me another beautiful day. I ask that you guide me and protect me. I pray that I will choose you in every situation that I face. And that my life will be a testimony and an example to many that I have Christ living in me. Thank you, Lord, for sending your son to die on the cross and wipe my sins away. I lift your name high for you are Alpha and Omega. Amen!

IMPORTANT NOTE!!!

The prayer below is for anyone who does not know God or maybe has been apart from God for a while. God is here to pour His favor over your life. All you have to do is call out to Him. Make that decision today!

Dear Lord,

I come to you today as a sinner. I admit that I am a sinner. I believe that Jesus is your Son and He came on to this earth to die for my sins. Dear Lord, let your Son come and fill me. Lord, I ask that He cleanses me off my sins. I am ready to stand for you and profess your Name. Thank you, Lord. Amen.

If you repeated this prayer with all the sincerity of your heart, congratulations!! You are now a part of God’s family. Welcome to the greatest family ever. Heaven is jubilating on your arrival. Your fellow brothers and sisters are also excited to have you on board.

Being a child of God is a wonderful thing. The road might not always be easy, but God is with you each and every step of the way. Guiding you, helping you and encouraging up. You will never regret this decision; I can assure you of that. Two things I would recommend for you to do are;

1. Get yourself a Bible (in a version you understand) and meditate on it day and night. In Joshua 1:8, we are told that when you meditate on the Word day and night, you will be prosperous and successful.

2. Find a Bible- believing church to attend and fellowship with other Christians. This would help you grow spiritually.

I am excited that you made this decision. Welcome! If you would like some help or more understanding into anything, you can leave a message (adding your email address) and I would be willing and happy to help you out!
