Topic: Esther’s Glory: Issue 2- God over everything!

Bible Reading: Esther 1
Highlighted Verse(s): Esther 1: 1-4 (NKJV)
Good evening ladies and gentlemen! How are you doing? I hope you have had a wonderful day and week (so far)! Today, we continue the Esther’s Glory series, with another wonderful message! Before delving into the message, how did you find yesterday’s message? Were you encouraged by the message? If you haven’t read yesterday’s message, I encourage you to do so now! There are great lessons to learn from the message!
Today’s message could count as the continuation of yesterday’s message. We would be exploring the theme; “God over everything!” We would be highlighting the fact that no one or nothing is greater than God. We would see that God is more powerful, wiser and mightier than the most powerful person in the world- from the context of the chapter; King Ahasuerus.
There are times, we look at people who have more money, more power and/ or a great network of people and feel threatened. We look at our current situation(s) and create mental pictures of our lives in the best conditions (i.e. money, power and networks). We get jealous and start wishing for what they have! We tend to forget that we have a Father who is more powerful and richer than anyone. He is a Father who has never left us dry nor has He ever ignored our needs! He takes us through the toughest and deepest of situation! We serve a God who is faithful and merciful!
In Esther 1:1-9, the Bible sheds light on the wealth of king Ahasuerus. During those times, he would have been known as one of the wealthiest and most powerful kings. However, God had a plan for His people. He was able to lead His people out of the wrath of such a powerful and mighty king. From the story of Esther, we see how God skilfully took His people through difficult times! With Esther's position, God showed and displayed the extent of His love and dedication to His people. If the God we serve does this; why do you lack or wish for other things! He is the God over everything! Don’t worry! Don’t fret! Don’t compare yourself to others! What you have is far more expensive than the earthly wealth/ power of many! Who do you trust: God or the world’s most powerful? Or maybe the world’s richest man?
Today’s message is a short reminder to us all, of who God is! As Christians, we must never forget who God is! We must never forget all He has done for us, all He is doing for us and all He is about to do! We all are blessed to call Him our Father! Because He love for us; we are always ahead of everyone else. Take some time to look at your life! You would realize that God has been faithful! He has kept you and your family for years and taken you from Glory to Glory! This is the God we serve! Is there any other Father or human being that is greater and better than God?
God bless!
Prayer Points:
1. Ask God to reveal Himself to you.
2. Ask God to prepare your heart.
3. Ask for strength.
4. Ask that God to equip you and help you through difficult times.
End with a time of praise and worship!
Have a wonderful evening and let God inspire you!
Today’s prayer:
Dear Lord,
I thank you for my life. I thank you for giving me another beautiful day. I ask that you guide me and protect me. I pray that I will choose you in every situation that I face. And that my life will be a testimony and an example to many that I have Christ living in me. Thank you, Lord, for sending your son to die on the cross and wipe my sins away. I lift your name high for you are Alpha and Omega. Amen!
IMPORTANT NOTE!!!
The prayer below is for anyone who does not know God or maybe has been apart from God for a while. God is here to pour His favor over your life. All you have to do is call out to Him. Make that decision today!
Dear Lord,
I come to you today as a sinner. I admit that I am a sinner. I believe that Jesus is your Son and He came on to this earth to die for my sins. Dear Lord, let your Son come and fill me. Lord, I ask that He cleanses me off my sins. I am ready to stand for you and profess your Name. Thank you, Lord. Amen.
If you repeated this prayer with all the sincerity of your heart, congratulations!! You are now a part of God’s family. Welcome to the greatest family ever. Heaven is jubilating on your arrival. Your fellow brothers and sisters are also excited to have you on board.
Being a child of God is a wonderful thing. The road might not always be easy, but God is with you each and every step of the way. Guiding you, helping you and encouraging up. You will never regret this decision; I can assure you of that. Two things I would recommend for you to do are;
1. Get yourself a Bible (in a version you understand) and meditate on it day and night. In Joshua 1:8, we are told that when you meditate on the Word day and night, you will be prosperous and successful.
2. Find a Bible- believing church to attend and fellowship with other Christians. This would help you grow spiritually.
I am excited that you made this decision. Welcome! If you would like some help or more understanding into anything, you can leave a message (adding your email address) and I would be willing and happy to help you out!
