Our Journey with Christ: Point 3- Obedience

Topic: Our Journey with Christ: Point 3- Obedience

Good evening ladies and gentlemen! How are you doing? Hope you had a great day! Today, we are continuing this mini-series; exploring the journey we have to embark as Children of God. Yesterday’s post was dedicated to “The Call”- in addition to this, we spoke on Commission. Have you read yesterday’s post? If you haven’t, I urge you to read yesterday’s piece for this one; as today’s message is a continuation of the previous!

Let us get right into it…

Like we mentioned yesterday, as a child of God, we all have received a call from God. This call from God comes as a conviction in our heart from the Holy Spirit. Every call comes with a commission- we touched on this briefly in yesterday’s post. As a child of God, we have been commissioned to go round to all the parts of the world to spread the Gospel.

Once receive the call and the commission, we now come to a crossroads. We have to make a decision- a very important one at that! We have to decide whether we are going to make the decision to join God’s family (and work for His kingdom) or we make the decision to live our lives on our own terms. The decision is entirely ours!

That’s one thing about God; He never forces us to do anything out of our will! Why? So that once we make the decision, it is out of our own will that we serve- it is not God forcing His will and Himself on us! That’s one of the beautiful things about God, He doesn’t force us! Our relationship is based on how willing and open we are to receiving Him, subduing ourselves and our will- at our own free will.

Now, let us take a look at Abraham’s story! In Genesis 12:4, the Bible reads, “So Abram departed as the Lord had spoken to him, and Lot went with him. And Abram was seventy-five years old when he departed from Haran.” This verse shows that Abram obeyed and acted on God’s call!

What is your response going to be? Are you going to accept God’s call and obey His instructions? Always remember that each decision comes with consequences we must all live with!

We hope that this post has blessed and encouraged everyone- those already a part of God’s family and those who are not! Watch out for tomorrow’s post on Revelation. With the Call from God and making the decision to accepting the call (or rejecting it); the next thing is that God reveals the end goal to you! God bless you for reading!

Have a wonderful day and let God inspire you!

Being a child of God is a wonderful thing. The road might not always be easy, but God is with you each and every step of the way. Guiding you, helping you and encouraging up. You will never regret this decision; I can assure you of that. Two things I would recommend for you to do are;

1. Get yourself a Bible (in a version y
