Topic: Our Journey with Christ- Point 4- Revelation
Hello ladies and gentlemen! How are you doing? Hope you’re having a wonderful week so far! The eighth month of the year begins in a few days- God has been faithful! At the beginning of the year, we all didn’t know how the year was going to be! We trusted and believed God and He has brought us thus far! We give Him all the Glory and Honor- if not for Him, we wouldn’t know where or what we will be!
Today, we continue our series “Our Journey with Christ”- we would be looking at the next point on the journey, Revelation! From our previous messages, the Holy Spirit has taught us that on this journey with Christ, we must receive a call from God (the conviction in one’s heart to accept Christ). The call comes with a commission (to fulfill the Great Commission with the talents and gifts God gave). Then, a decision must be made- to accept God’s Call and Commission or not to! Once we make the bold decision for Christ, He reveals the end game to us! What is end game you might ask? Well, He reveals the result of our work! He always makes sure to gives us a picture of what we are working towards. This is to act as a motivation for us to work diligently and hard to reach that point!
God reveals this to us in many different ways! It could be through vision/ dream, song, advise from someone, direct conversation, etc. It is important that once we make the decision to embark on this journey; we focus on our individual journeys! Why? Well, everyone’s relationship with God is different! Just like no two people were made the same; no two people have the same style and intimacy with God. Each of us have different combination(s) of gifts, talents, behaviors, etc.
Let us take a look at Abraham’s story and how God revealed Abraham’s mission to him. In Genesis 12:7, the Bible reads, “Then the Lord appeared to Abram and said, “To your descendants I will give this land.” And there he built an altar to the Lord, who had appeared to him.” In Abraham’s case, the Lord appeared to him; telling him that the land his descendants will possess. That was the goal- his descendants were yet to receive the land, but he believed.
It is very important to believe after a revelation! That with give you the willingness to go through it all! If not, your doubts may harm your journey! Has God revealed the end game to you? Do you believe in what He’s revealed? Do you believe that it is a possibility? These are very important questions we must reflect on and go back to God for answers and direction!
We hope that this post has blessed and encouraged everyone- those already a part of God’s family and those who are not! Watch out for the next post on Obstacles. With the Call from God and making the decision to accepting the call (or rejecting it); God reveals the end game to you. When the enemy sees that you are growing in Christ, he brings some obstacles to throw you off your lane!
God bless you for reading!
Have a wonderful day and let God inspire you!
Being a child of God is a wonderful thing. The road might not always be easy, but God is with you each and every step of the way. Guiding you, helping you and encouraging up. You will never regret this decision; I can assure you of that. Two things I would recommend for you to do are;
