Topic: Our Journey with Christ: Point 6- Rewards
Good evening ladies and gentlemen! How are you? How has your week been so far? Recently, time seems race by; we are already ten days into the month of August. Wow! Indeed, it is by His Grace we are here! How has the month been? Already receiving some breakthroughs? Always remember that with God by your side, every day is a great day full of miracles and breakthroughs! Go on with your day knowing that you are better and greater than anything!
Over the past few weeks, we have been learning about our spiritual journey, with the help of the Holy Spirit. We have learnt about the Call and Commission (from God), Obedience to the Call, Revelations and Obstacles along our journey. We are done! Today, we would be learning about “REWARDS.” Did you know that God rewards His people? Let us get right into the message…
God is a very loving Father. Just like our earthly parents who rewards us for being good and obedient children; our Father in Heaven does the same! He rewards all His children who diligently seek Him and obey His commands. Why? This is because we make a choice to obey God or not to. Making the Choice for God involves sacrifice and strong will. He rewards us greatly for this!
That’s not all… God rewards us once we make the decision to be a part of His kingdom! As long as you believe in your heart (and confess with your mouth) that God is King; He rewards you! It is automatic. This is where Grace plays a role. We, as children of God, receive unmerited rewards (in the form of blessings and favor)- this is the Grace that backs all Christians.
God’s blessings come in various forms! Most importantly, it comes specific to your needs and wants. We receive exactly what we need sometimes without asking. That’s how awesome the God we serve is.
In Genesis 13 verse 2, we see that Abram was very rich- in livestock and gems. Got rewarded him with riches. That is one way that God rewards and blesses us.

With the Call from God and making the decision to accepting the call (or rejecting it); God reveals the end game to you. When the enemy sees that you are growing in Christ, he brings some obstacles to throw you off your lane! Despite this, God is with us and He rewards all who diligently seek Him! In the next post, we would look at the importance of Calling on Christ and acknowledging Him; throughout our journey!

Being a child of God is a wonderful thing. The road might not always be easy, but God is with you each and every step of the way. Guiding you, helping you and encouraging up. You will never regret this decision; I can assure you of that. Two things I would recommend for you to do are;
1. Get yourself a Bible (in a version you understand) and meditate on it day and night. In Joshua 1:8, we are told that when you meditate on the Word day and night, you will be prosperous and successful.
2. Find a Bible- believing church to attend and fellowship with other Christians. This would help you grow spiritually.
