The GOOD FRIDAY Message!

Topic: The Good Friday Message

Good afternoon, ladies, and gentlemen! Hope you are doing well! Today marks the day that marks the death of Christ (Good Friday). I am we all have a Good Friday ritual- we may go to church in the morning, watch “The Passion of The Christ,” spend time with your family/ friends and/or just relax the whole day over a great meal.

As you go through the day, do we spend time to truly understand the essence and significance of Christ’s death? It is very important that we live our lives true to God and not based on the activities and rituals of Christianity. Today, I want to urge you to take the time to truly understand Christ’s action. Do not just stop at that! Let your reflection spark a change in your heart! Make the decision to serve and love Christ whole heartedly. Dedicate your life and yourself to Him! We are here on earth as His representatives. God has sent us here on a particular mission! We must make sure we align ourselves to Him; follow His Will for our lives and fulfill this calling/ purpose.

Now, I would like to highlight 3 reasons Christ died for us! I pray that this would be the beginning of a period of reflection and change for us all! The Holy Spirit is our Helper, and I am excited for this Fresh Anointing coming our way! Hallelujah!!

Christ died on the cross to:

A. Set us Free (Galatians 5:1)

The Bible tells us in Galatians 5:1 reads, “Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage.” This verse shows us that Christ is the only way to freedom. Most importantly, once we get to enjoy this freedom, we must be confident about this victory. You must exercise your Faith- freedom from the oppression of the enemy. The enemy has no legitimate reason to stand in your way and plans because Christ died on the cross to save you and I. He conquered the enemy and has set us free! If the enemy wants to challenge us, he is challenging God our Father- who is fighting the battle on our behalf.

B. Give us Eternal Life (Matthew 25:46)

This Bible passage reads “And these will go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteousness into eternal life.” You see, Christ’s death set us free from the enemy’s wrath. At the same time, Christ’s death drew us closer to God. Thanks to Christ’s death, we are stripped of all our baggage. With that, we were given the platform/ opportunity to be right in the eyes of God (righteousness). Our righteousness, thanks to Christ’s death, gives us the opportunity to enjoy eternal life with God. We get to enjoy life and not death. Christ’s death has ensured a legal passage into eternity with God. Hallelujah!

C. Ensure our Salvation (1 Corinthians 15:17)

1 Corinthians 15: 17 reads, “And if Christ is not risen, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins!” Through Christ’s death, all our sins (the activities/ actions we take due to our sinful nature) were forgiven! We were given the opportunity to live Christ-like lives; characterized by purity and good deeds. Christ’s death gave us the authority over all sins, but most importantly, the authority over our sinful nature! Christ’s death gave us the license to invite Christ to take control of our lives. With that, we can overcome our sinful nature which come through our thoughts, feelings, etc. Today, as we celebrate and remember Christ’s death on Calvary’s cross, know that He has paid the price for our sins! We must walk in Faith (and intentionality) that we are free of our sinful nature and our sins have been annulled. Hallelujah!

Ladies and Gentlemen! I pray that these posts have reminded you of the significance and importance of Christ’s death. The price He paid for you and I, is the basis of our entire walk with God. Do not take it for granted!

To enjoy the freedom and salvation Christ’s death grantees, you must make the decision to make Him Lord of your life! It is the most important decision you must take- in all sincerity! Are you ready to take that decision? If you are, kindly say this prayer:

Dear Lord,

I come to you today as a sinner. I admit that I am a sinner. I believe that Jesus is your Son and He came on to this earth to die for my sins. Dear Lord, let your Son come and fill me. Lord, I ask that He cleanses me off my sins. I am ready to stand for you and profess your Name. Thank you, Lord. Amen.

If you repeated this prayer with all the sincerity of your heart, congratulations!! You are now a part of God’s family. You get to enjoy the freedom, salvation, and eternal life! Welcome to the greatest family ever. Heaven is jubilating on your arrival. Your fellow brothers and sisters are also excited to have you on board.

Being a child of God is a wonderful thing. The road might not always be easy, but God is with you each and every step of the way. Guiding you, helping you and encouraging up. You will never regret this decision; I can assure you of that. Two things I would recommend for you to do are;

1. Get yourself a Bible (in a version you understand) and meditate on it day and night. In Joshua 1:8, we are told that when you meditate on the Word day and night, you will be prosperous and successful.

2. Find a Bible- believing church to attend and fellowship with other Christians. This would help you grow spiritually.

I am excited that you made this decision. Welcome! If you would like some help or more understanding into anything, you can leave a message (adding your email address) and I would be willing and happy to help you out!

God richly bless you! Thank you, God, for victory!

Have a wonderful day and let God inspire you!
