Topic: Esther’s Glory: Issue 15- When God leads you, your life is full of light (and many other positive things!)
Bible Reading: Esther 8
Memory Verse: Esther 8: 16 (NKJV)
The Jews had light and gladness, joy and honor.
Good evening ladies and gentlemen! How has your day been? How has your week been? The second week of this month is drawing to a close! Wow! This year is drawing to a close quite quickly- I am say! Though this year would go down in history’s book as a year of a global pandemic; God has been faithful to you (and I). As this year draws to an end, what are you grateful for? What are you thankful to God for? God has done so many things for His children this year- throughout the ups and downs. Make sure to spend a few days in this month to reflect on the year and your relationship with God!
Now, let us get into today’s message! The Holy Spirit has some Good News to share with us this evening! Let’s go!
When we make a decision to follow God, at times, things may not go on smoothly. There may be situations that we may face that would cause us to think twice about our decision to become God’s children! This feeling heightens (most of the time) when we are going through a battle and we do not see a clear end! Life’s pressures can make you jealous of a non-Believer’s life! But it is always important to be reminded of how Wonderful and Mighty God is!
This evening, the Holy Spirit want to uplift you and I! He wants to remind us of the perks of being a Child of God! He wants to assure us that our decision to follow God is not in vain! As a Child of God there are many blessings and rewards, we receive from our Father! They are countless! Every day, God blesses us in one or another! Most times, we are too busy looking elsewhere to notice them! Also, a lot of us live our lives with many expectations of God! The things He does for us on a day basis; we neglect to acknowledge God’s presence in our lives!
Today, the Holy Spirit is telling us that as Children of God, if we continue to listen to God’s Word for our lives (and obey Him), one of our rewards is to live a life full of light! This means that you will live a life full of joy, peace, gladness, strength and many more! This is the sort of life many people struggle for! But as Children of God, these things have been gifted to us! You can go and conquer the world for God! Why? Well, God is with you every day and you are living a full life right here on earth! So what must we do to enjoy this? Well, it’s a simple act (or set of actions)- but very difficult at the same time.
We need to be filled with God’s Word every day! We need to immerse ourselves in God’s will and purpose for our lives. We need to choose God in every situation and at every waking moment of our lives. At times, choose God in the thick of a battle, when it seems like all hope is lost; is very difficult. But like the Jews (in the book of Esther) we must keep our face turned to God at all times! He is working on our situation! He is raising people to intercede on our behalf- so we gain victory! So continue to stand firm in God- even in the direst moments.
In Esther 8, we see that God used Esther (as an intercessor) to fight on behalf of His people- because she was Queen. Once they were saved, the Bible says that they “… had light and gladness, joy and honor.” We, like the Jews in those times, are going to enjoy these things! For the God we serve is Mighty and Powerful! He is Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End! Oh, what a great Father we serve and love!
My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, Joy is your portion! Peace is your portion! Love is your portion! Gladness is your portion! Honor is your portion! Light is your portion! Wealth is your portion! Fruitfulness is your portion! Success is your portion! And many more… Stand firm and believe in God’s promise; it is yours to enjoy! Hallelujah! God bless!

Today’s prayer:
Dear Lord,
I thank you for my life. I thank you for giving me another beautiful day. I ask that you guide me and protect me. I pray that I will choose you in every situation that I face. And that my life will be a testimony and an example to many that I have Christ living in me. Thank you, Lord, for sending your son to die on the cross and wipe my sins away. I lift your name high for you are Alpha and Omega. Amen!
IMPORTANT NOTE!!!
The prayer below is for anyone who does not know God or maybe has been apart from God for a while. God is here to pour His favor over your life. All you have to do is call out to Him. Make that decision today!
Dear Lord,
I come to you today as a sinner. I admit that I am a sinner. I believe that Jesus is your Son and He came on to this earth to die for my sins. Dear Lord, let your Son come and fill me. Lord, I ask that He cleanses me off my sins. I am ready to stand for you and profess your Name. Thank you, Lord. Amen.
If you repeated this prayer with all the sincerity of your heart, congratulations!! You are now a part of God’s family. Welcome to the greatest family ever. Heaven is jubilating on your arrival. Your fellow brothers and sisters are also excited to have you on board.
Being a child of God is a wonderful thing. The road might not always be easy, but God is with you each and every step of the way. Guiding you, helping you and encouraging up. You will never regret this decision; I can assure you of that. Two things I would recommend for you to do are;
1. Get yourself a Bible (in a version you understand) and meditate on it day and night. In Joshua 1:8, we are told that when you meditate on the Word day and night, you will be prosperous and successful.
2. Find a Bible- believing church to attend and fellowship with other Christians. This would help you grow spiritually.
I am excited that you made this decision. Welcome! If you would like some help or more understanding into anything, you can leave a message (adding your email address) and I would be willing and happy to help you out!
God bless you, Sammie 🙏🏾🙏🏾
