Topic: Do you recognize my voice?
Hello everyone! How are you? How has your day been? It is our first blog post of the year- Happy New Year! This year, God has said that it is the Year of His Will! A year characterized by acceleration and elevation in all aspects of our lives (that we have surrendered to God!) Are we ready for the year?
As we get ready for all the awesome things God is about to do with and in our lives; we must make sure that we are communicating directly with God. Communication has two levels- speaking and listening. Under each level, there are so many branches. As God’s children, we must listen more than we speak! This involves identifying God’s voice, hearing what He has to say, accepting what you have been told and acting on what you have been told.
The most crucial part of listening is identifying God’s voice. This is very critical for the year! To do God’s Will, we must hear God’s voice for ourselves- by first recognizing His voice! The question is “how can we identify God’s voice?” This comes with constant prayer and meditation of the Word. Making the decision to draw closer to God and being intentional about fellowship and spiritual growth. With that, God begins to reveal and unveil Himself to us. With the help of the Holy Spirit, we will be able to clearly distinguish God’s voice from ours, and that of the enemy. Once we can hear and recognize His voice; a large chunk of the work is done!
To ran with God’s Word for the year, we must be intentional and focused on working on ourselves and ensure we are standing upright (with God). You must make the decision now and be committed to it. What would that decision be- For God or Against God?
