The Ruth Series: Episode 12- Are you willing to risk everything for God?

Today we want you to reflect and evaluate. Shalom. God bless.

Bible Reading: Ruth 3

Memory Verse: Ruth 3: 14

So she lay at his feet till morning, but got up before anyone could be recognized; and he said, “No one must know that a woman came to the threshing floor.”

Good morning everyone! Praise God for He has given you life! Today, we continue The Ruth Series with the 12thepisode. Today’s issue is going to be interesting. We are going to explore the depths about how prepared we are to risk everything for God.

Let’s look at these scenarios. Imagine that you have just lost your job, your car and your house; will you still follow God? Or you your parents have passed away, will you follow God? Imagine you go and preach the word in Saudi Arabia and get arrested, will you continue to profess His Name? All these are very important questions that as Christians we must answer. Are we prepared to risk everything for God?

Think carefully through the answer you have to the question. Is it YES or it is NO. Hmm! A few years ago, a watched a movie about Joan of Arc. She stood for her beliefs and faith in Christ and was torched alive for that. When I watched that movie, for days, I was wondering, “Would I be able to die for Christ?” Honestly, I was a bit skeptical. Till today, I haven’t answered that question.

Today’s dose is not only for you but for me as well. When God was speaking to me this morning, I was also evaluating this question. Am I prepared to risk everything for God? I thought for a while. And my answer is a YES. Like the Bible says, ‘What is it to profit a man to gain the whole world and lose your soul.” It is not an easy decision to make but I trust and have faith that He has got my back. God’s got me! Even if I lose everything, the God who is Alpha and Omega will bless me with multitudes over. Amen!

It might take a while to make the decision to say yes but with God’s help you will make that decision. In the Bible reading, we see that Ruth went to lie on the threshing floor which was against the rules. But she was willing to risk being seen and punished just to do what Naomi wanted. Would you have done same.

Prayer Points:

Today, just reflect and ask God to help you come to the decision to put first in everything.

Today’s Prayer:

I thank you for another wonderful day. I thank you for the Grace and the Mercy you show upon us. Lord I Cry onto you this morning on behalf of all my fellow Christians who do not have the strength to do so. Lord I pray that you strengthen them. Lord I pray that you heal them and comfort them and Lord I ask that you continue to give them a burning desire to know you. I thank you for their lives and their experiences; that it may not only be a blessing to them but to many. In Jesus Name I pray with thanksgiving.

Amen.

Today’s message, like yesterday is very short. God wants you to re-evaluate your life and makes important and difficult questions to follow Him. So I ask again, “Are you prepared to risk everything for God?”

  • Have a wonderful day and let God inspire you!
