Bible Reading: Genesis 12
Memory Verse: Genesis 12:3
And I bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.
Good evening ladies and gentlemen! How are you all doing? Welcome back for your daily dose of Biblical medicine. How was your day? Mine was awesome. I spent most of my day fellowshipping with other Christians at a weekly fellowship meeting I attend. The experience was amazing. The preacher spoke about mount up our wings and soar like an eagle. From this message, there are few things that struck me. I will share a few with you. I will share three things from what I learnt:
You must acknowledge God in all your ways to be able to soar.
To trust God, you must be able to develop the ability to maintain the fullness of the Holy Spirit.
Develop the ability to take advantage of storms.
Today’s meeting was a blessing to me and also an eye opener. God bless you Apostle and Prophet and to all the wonderful men and women of God who spoke today. The only question I ask now is Are you part of any fellowship? Or area meetings? Or Bible studies? If not, I would encourage you to join one. It is a great way to grow spiritually as you have the power of corporate prayer and anointing interceding for you; as well as guidance from men and women of God who are spiritually mature. Don’t take this lightly. It is very important for you to do so. Hallelujah!
Today’s post is Part 39 of the Genesis Story. We are continuing our look at Genesis chapter 12. Today we would be looking at verse 3. Today’s verse is a continuation of yesterday’s- talking about God’s blessings for His children. Let’s take a look at this verse. The first part of the blessing says, “And I bless them that bless thee…” Here, God it is telling us that when He blesses us, we are going to be used as a vessel for other people’s blessings. Your blessing means that someone is also being blessed. Is that not a wonderful thing? I describe this as one of the several effects in “The Multiplier Effect” of blessings! Hallelujah! To be blessed by God has so many effects in your spiritual growth and in your physical well-being. If you did/ do economics you will under the concept of the multiplier effect better. The second part of the verse says, “… and curse him that curseth thee…” In this part of the verse, God is saying that He will condemn all those who condemn His children. This goes to show us the power of the tongue. To bless or curse someone, you would have to utter some words. These words come out of your mouth. The reason why we are always cautioned about the things we say are that the words can create things. If I say positive things to a person, a blessing is created. If I speak negative things, a curse is created. When the blessing or curse is created, it is established in the spiritual realms. It then starts to manifest in the physical.
It would be very dangerous and sad if you curse a child of God? Why? Well, from this verse, we are told that God curses all those who curse His children. Would you like to face the wrath of God? I know I wouldn’t. I urge you to sensor the things that come out of your mouth. It is not everything that pops up in our head that we can utter. Always remember to think before you speak. Always give positive and encouraging comments to people. Don’t focus on the downfall of people! See in the good in others!
One thing to look out for are the people that you are surrounded with. These are the people who have opinions that matter to you. If you have someone who is always negative and jealous around you, it only builds up curses. Surround yourself with people who will encourage you. People who are happy about your successes and celebrate with you. They speak blessings in your life. Everyone one wants to be blessed and not cursed.
Kindly note that God didn’t say that when someone curses you the curse is destroyed. No! He says He will curse those who curse you. When people curse you, the curse is established in the spirit. It is by God’s intervention through the blood of Jesus Christ that will break all these curses. Take note of this please. A lot of Christians mistake the two things. Be very alert about the things spoken over your life, whether it be from parents, family members, teachers, pastors or prophets. Be alert!
Let’s look at the last part of the verse which says, “… and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.” Hallelujah! This part can be seen as a concluding statement. The verse says that through you, not only one person would be affected, but generations. Generations of people will be blessed because of you. Hallelujah! Let us take a look at John Wesley and Charles Wesley. Their songs and writings are a blessing to many people all over the world. These are generations after them. People they never met. People they are not related to. Because of these two gentlemen, many families are blessed. Hallelujah! Do you also want to bless many families on earth? You must work diligently and wholeheartedly for God. Then He will reward you with a blessing to be able to be a blessing to many generations and families to come. Hallelujah!
If this is your first-time reading Sammie’s Daily Dose, or you will like to experience the sort of blessing God has been talking about in this post and the previous post; kindly say this prayer with sincerity in your hearts.
Dear Lord,
I come to you today as a sinner. I admit that I am a sinner. I believe that Jesus is your Son and He came on to this earth to die for my sins. Dear Lord, let your Son come and fill me. Lord, I ask that He cleanses me off my sins. I am ready to stand for you and profess your Name. Thank you, Lord. Amen.
If you repeated this prayer with all the sincerity of your heart, congratulations!! You are now a part of God’s family. Welcome to the greatest family ever. Heaven is jubilating on your arrival. Your fellow brothers and sisters are also excited to have you on board. You can now be exempted from the wrath of the enemy and of God. Not only do you experience this, but your whole family as well. Wow! Isn’t the God you serve so cool? He is. Not only do you enjoy this, but you enjoy other blessings God has in store for His children.
Being a child of God is a wonderful thing. The road might not always be easy, but God is with you each and every step of the way. Guiding you, helping you and encouraging up. You will never regret this decision; I can assure you of that. Two things I would recommend for you to do are;
Get yourself a Bible (in a version you understand) and meditate on it day and night. In Joshua 1:8, we are told that when you meditate on the Word day and night, you will be prosperous and successful.
Find a Bible- believing church to attend and fellowship with other Christians. This would help you grow spiritually.
I am excited that you made this decision. Welcome! If you would like some help or more understanding into anything, you can leave a message (adding your email address) and I would be willing and happy to help you out. Hallelujah!
To end, I would like to encourage you to keep up the work you are doing for Christ. Your blessing is on its way. Do not be discouraged! Keep pressing on!
Have a wonderful evening and let God inspire you!
